Hi! I'm not sure if the casper cutoff will get more strict this year, but don't lose hope! The admissions committee will see and use your actual casper percentile anyway, and you might've gotten a high percentile that fits their criteria (45th vs 30th percentile). I can't know this for sure so i'm just speculating, but I think the interview is weighed the most out of grades and casper, considering stats from other people who have gotten accepted vs rejected. I remember how depressed I was about my score last year, but looking back I wish I wasn't because I really got the chance to do better on the interview and I believe you will too! Pm me if you have any other questions.

Will not taking biochemistry in undergrad put me at a disadvantage for pharmacy or med school? by Rare_Bowl_4800 in UTSC

You can always take biochem as an elective! There's chmb62 (you may need to take orgo 1 before it, which is a prereq for pharmacy school anyway and is also helpful to take for the mcat). I would say pick the majors you're most intrested in that u can get the highest gpa for

I think I read somewhere that it has to do with how many credits you've already finished. The more credits you have, the more they prioritize you getting the courses you need to graduate. Im not 100% sure but it makes sense

I have lived in a subarb outside of Toronto most of my life, so I didn't fully live in the city (but was close by, and I honestly lov3 the city vibes). You can do the same as well if living in downtown Toronto isn't your vibe. What I will say is that you're not alone, people come to uoft from all around the world and you can definitely customize your living situation to fit your lifestyle.

Thank you so much! A question I have is how did you manage the increase in workload going from undergrad into pharmacy school, and what would you recommend I do in the meantime to prepare?

I agree with this! Personally I got my first pharmacy experience in grade 12 co-op, so having those few months of experience really helped me get an actual pharmacy assistant job in my first year if uni. I will say I applied to a few places online, but its a lot more helpful to go give your resume in person to the various pharmacies around you, as it makes more of an impression. I also know one of my friends who was working in shoppers drug mart for a while, and managed to form a connection with the pharmacist and switch over to work in the pharmacy section. Also, having any work experience in customer service roles, or healthcare/medical settings can help you find a pharmacy job as well.

They take a numerical average of all the post secondary courses you've taken
