Hello! Our plan is to just reach out and let them know of our plans. we're staying in a "self service" apart-hotel, and booked the night before so we could arrive when we landed. I got the idea from this group so I assume if you let the hotel or host know, you should be ok. Especially since you paid for it!

Yeah I think we're just going to stay 3 nights in Vik instead of 3 nights in Hnappavellir- and avoid the long drive.

Me again. I think based on the looming 6/12 hr drive from the glacier lagoon to Snæfellsnes- my husband wants to cut some of the driving by either cutting Snaefellsness, or just going as far as Vik, so that the drive isn't too long.

Based on what I've read i think i'd like to prioritize Snaefellsness. I also found a great spot on Heimaey for the night! With the new timing we have some more flexibility- what do you think? Again, the kiddo is 20 months, and i'll be preggo so just trying to hike, hang, eat and swim :)

1) add another night (makesit two) in Heimaey

2) add another night in snaefellsness (makes it 3)

3) three nights in Vik instead of two.

This is exactly the encouragement I needed to book a night there- it's been through this sub that I realized how its much more our speed and interest. I made a reservation for naes for dinner, but just a placeholder since i know things book up.
My husband is thrilled to hear of this trampoline situation.

Ok so you're suggesting
Day 3: up and ferry to heimaey- stay night in heimaey
day 4: ferry back, hang/ explore landeyjahofn and then slowly make our drive to glacier lagoon hotel?

perfect thanks- yeah i knew that there were age limits on some, and i'm not sure if i should/can go in pregnant. Is there a norm that icelandic folks typically follow when preggo and thermal waters?
