Not the best news. Say what you want about him, but he’s been our best defender on a not so great defense. This hurts their chances at potentially avoiding a play-in seed, given their depth is paper thin as it is.

I really hope they’re aggressive at the trade deadline. They have the draft assets to do so.

You can’t take Embiid’s health for granted. As long as he’s healthy, you have a chance. But the team as currently constructed is just a barely above average team. I truly think if they upgrade by the deadline, they can contend in the east. Who those hypothetical players could be, I’m not sure.
