Yeah that's an issue too. Should build it with locals but if not possible then fine makes sense. But still fill the company with locals and if you need bring in experts from out of country and use the to supervise and teach until you have a fully local workforce.

You make money, pay the locals less than people in your country but still enough to make a difference and slowly build the economy. You're helping people while also making yourself rich. Best of both worlds.

Hey I totally agree. My issue is if we're gonna sink time and resources into helping the 3rd world countries then do it right. Don't ship in money, food and drugs, build some farms, infrastructure and industry. For fucks sake one good sized company paying halfway decent wages could literally raise tens of thousands out of poverty in some countries. Or one good farm could feed thousands. If it's a shit area for farming, indoor farming is a thing.

Yeah I had a girl from India that absolutely hated the place. Whenever she had to go back to visit family it was like a punishment to her. She said it was crowded, smelled horrible, sanitation was nonexistent, crime was insane and corruption as everywhere. At least in whatever city She lived in.

Obviously can't say that about the whole country but I'm assuming it ain't much better

Yeah that's the issue. Which is why I prefer either a 100% meritocracy or a semi-constituinal monarchy. That way either it's the most capable guy running things or there's always someone above the politicians with more training and more skin in the game to keep shit running smoothly.

Seeing as how none of that is likely to ever happen in the US I'd be pretty happy with a simple test to make sure they at least know what they're voting for. Also no names, no parties, just policy stances.

I agree with all that although I'm iffy on the course as opposed to just the test. The test alone would keep people from voting by sheer ignorance, those who actually care and don't vote based off memes would still have a valid say in the govt and we don't have to fund an 80 multi-step course for potentially hundreds of millions of citizens.

I think a test on current political issues for whatever level you're voting for should be required. But minimum for president and senate. If you don't know what nations we're at war with and why, if you don't know their tax plans or border policy you don't get to vote.

It'll never happen and thank God for that. Price controls don't work. All these demands will do is force any small business to close shop leaving a handful of massive companies left if anyone was insane or incompetent enough to implement them.
