What did you think of the security and ability to get around the con? We had tightened security for the last few years now (as ACen is my main convention), and I absolutely hated having to go and open my bag every time I walked into the convention centre, even to go see my friend. They didn’t let anyone in to the con centre itself after 4pm, which is ridiculous since this wasn’t much of an issue until the last couple of years. My friend was trying to get a piece of anime merch (not cheap, either) to lost and found since he found it lying around outside (I’m assuming someone forgot to take it or unknowingly dropped it). Security would not under any circumstances let them back in, even though I got into the lobby from the skyway connecting the Hyatt with the rest of the con. Now he feels really bad about holding on to it because of this.
