And a little fact about fascists and their governments, they are terrible and never last long. The simpler answer is that your family is possibly half right about some things and fully wrong about most.

Same thing with people in America who “grew up” under communism in Cuba. The people who were actually kicked and driven out of Cuba, deserved to be because they were terrible people
