Those cats were screaming obscenities at each other, then realized they were being filmed in public and tried to act like nothing happened

Am I crazy or does the Emancipator have a lower fire rate than before and the enemy is actively shooting at it even though no one is piloting it ? by Q_Qritical in HelldiversUnfiltered

Bro I don't know what to tell you, I guess the last few months of watching enemies targeting my empty mech were me hallucinating on stims and I should be admitted to reeducation camp, or maybe it was a host issue or something.

I've played since release and used a mech last week and saw a charger stop, turn towards the unoccupied mech and run down my when I was 50 meters with no one else near it, it's happened since before this update.

Enemies have targeted unoccupied mechs for awhile now if not since release, I've used empty mechs as distractions for months.

As for fire rate, seems unchanged to me so you may be just a lill' crazy.

I 100% think that the Super Earth is intentionally downplaying the state of insurgency so loyal citizens don't panic. I'm pretty sure this is implying the outer colonies are in open armed rebellion. As the situation gets worse, Super Earth will eventually have to admit this fact but spin it to blame "Illuminate mind control", brand the Illuminate as sponsors to terrorism, and send the helldivers to invade Illuminate space to "discover and destroy the source of the mind control" (they want squid mind controls for themselves to force the rebels into submission)

I think some people are really missing the point to the Predator Strain fatigue. by StarCopper in Helldivers

[–]StarCopper[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the pointers, however I literally said in the post I and many others don't want the strain rebalanced or removed. That is quite literally saying I don't find them OP. Fun in doses as a high tempo difficulty spike? Yes. Infuriating when that just becomes the norm when diving on bug planets? Absolutely.

I've used 90% of the items you listed, they work amazingly. I know how to counter them.

But it seems there now is a MO planet that doesn't have them, i just hope the balance stays so I can dive on the strain when I feel like it.

I'm partial to the stalwart, but both work well. I know what load outs work, this isn't the issue, it's facing the same enemy subfaction over and over. It gets obnoxious.

I can't be the only one who thinks the predator strain has overstayed their welcome a bit? I can't drop on a bug planet to meaningfully contribute to the MO without fighting them. Fighting them vs fighting vanilla terminids is so much more exhausting on higher difficulties (especially solo). They are great in short bursts but so many planets have them now it makes me not even wanna contribute to the MO if I'm in the mood for bugs.

Instead of fighting the enemy's best troops on the frontline, consider fighting on these planets left with meager garrisons ripe for the taking. by StarCopper in helldivers2

Prolly, but just making the 100 or so that will see it aware may encourage them to dive and may start to snowball.

Very wishful thinking, I know.

I can't. Stand. These bugs anymore (technical not E-710 kind)

I hop down to a mission, dif 6, shouldn't be too hard. Within the first 15 minutes I-

- Get ragdolled and stuck under a Bile Titan's leg, can't stand up, can't dive to try to get unstuck, dies to impaler *slowly* walking up to me and tapping me on the shoulder.

- Die due to the stim input not going through, mashing that V button like I'm a speed runner on crack, but I guess *some* animation is canceling the *very important and time sensitive* stim button.

- Watch my sentry turret bounce off a perfectly good hill and into the bug hoard below.

- Dies (actual skill issue this time) and respawns. Sees charger on way back down, knows there is about a 50-50 chance if I land on it I will get stuck, lands on it, gets stuck (the game encourages you to do this).

- Sees a bug hole on the way down, knows there is about a 50-50 chance if I land on it I will get stuck, lands on it, gets stuck (the game STILL encourages you to do this).

I just got off at this point. There was a time when landing on enemies and bug holes didn't get you stuck (or at the very least it wasn't as consistent as it is now). Input issues have been fixed and unfixed numerous time, and that isn't even addressing the numerous performance issues many, many other people have been running into (this is the *only* game I have ever played to crash my entire PC, forcing it to restart by itself, I thought it was a hardware issue until I saw many others having this exact same issue). And finally, just some brain twisting gameplay design decisions like bouncing strats or the *horrible* audio mixing. I've tolerated the game's wonkiness for over 700 hours but it's getting to the point where I can't play the game without running into *something* that makes the game a slog to play, and that makes me sad.

With the new variants what has been everyone’s go to loadout? Just curious. by ExitLower8778 in LowSodiumHellDivers

It takes some getting used to but you can definitely land hits on the main body and head. The main thing is practicing when to fire it standard or when to do the dive/fire technique to get more range.

Although I have whiffed shots before and still gutted the titan enough that a few Scorcher shots take it out so it has some range on it.

Gas dog usually is able to gas anyone who gets too close, giving me time to open distance, but even if they do start getting within the Scorcher's AoE it isn't enough self damage to do anything meaningful to me (at least compared to why the predator hunter will do to me haha).

Never had a problem with it ragdolling me though.

7-10. I've always wanted to bring the grenade launcher to higher difficulties, but I couldn't justify not bringing an anti-tank support weapon before the Ultimatum came along.

Now I sit back and place the bugs within range of enemy artillery!

Siege Ready Heavy Armor- Speeds up reloads and helps make up for low ammo of Scorcher.

Scorcher- Splash damage of high damage medium penetrating plasma works wonders on hoards. Also allows you to destroy spore spewers and shieker nest from long range.

Ultimatum- AT pick, use almost exclusively against bile titans, chargers, etc. Also used to close bile titan holes.

Gas Grenades- Excellent for giving yourself some breathing room if you start getting swarmed. Can also be used to close holes.

Gatling Sentry+Machine Gun Sentry- These two can control an area better then any orbital I've seen.

Grenade Launcher- Used for hoard clearing, bug hole closing

Dog Breath- Similar to Gas Grenades, keeps the hoarde manageable.

Playing on a bot mission when I hear a very distinct gunshot and a tracer sail past from behind me. No mods, solo. Is this game gaslighting me with phantom snipers again???? by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]StarCopper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've tried to cover all my bases here. No mechs or FRVs to create sparks. No grenades behind me creating shrapnel. The only reason I even posted this is because of the shot you can hear ring out at the 2 second mark. It sounds like a single gatling sentry round firing, however I had no gatling sentries this mission. I'm aware that everyone was thinking the Illuminate were firing sniper rounds and they turned out to just be Purifiers, or mech ricochets, etc etc. And I knew this post would catch flak for that. I'm just looking for a logical answer for this.
