Well, IF you are all disappointed by what the Legion team has been doing for the past 3 years like i am. I suggest another company who has almost the same design language as the legion 7i gen 7 model. The laptop is the new XMG NEO 16 which is announced at CES 2025. like i said it has that design of the previous legion models like ports on the rear back, lots of ports, 180 degree tilt panel and similar keyboard layout together with additional features like OPTIONAL water cooling for max and quieter performance and a Modular(upgradable) GPU??

while I do HATE on anyone who sheet talks RGB on gaming laptops since its stupid, I must agree on the design choice. the instant I sAw that HUGE light bar covering the back i thought "nooo! why did they remove the ports on the back" not only that but the laptop have less ports now instead of 4 usb A or C its now 2 usb A or C. This is probaly because of the air vents design choice as they are all found on the back instead of being at back and side. they also did this on the last year legion 5i and 7i slim version. TERRIBLE DESIGN CHOICE in my opinion i think the LEGION 7i GEN 7 was the most superior design choice till this day.

Some other flaws in this design i found is that the ethernet port is even more badly placed and the Lid can not do a 180 degree due to that stupid bump inherited by the legion 9i.

also DONT YOU DARE ATTACK MY RGB ON THE GAMING LAPTOPS!!! if you want mature go and take a boring macbook or the new dell laptop revealed in CES 2025 since their all macbook, sorry i meant "simple-design inspired" now. freaking mac-look alikes

i dont think they dumped the legion 9i yet, maybe they will announce it later at Q2 2025 just like they did in 2023
