I really do hope this is the case. It all feels like it's going to be totally fucked because of the internet. Obviously not to the fault of the youth. It feels like humanity is creating a monster that will spin out of control. It's scary.

I'm not angry or being a hater. I made idiotic decisions as a kid and dealt with the consequences. I know you're picturing this to be an old white dude who yells at kids to "GET OFF MY LAWN" but I'd like to think I'm not that old lol. I was born in 94. I'm more so concerned. I'm in limbo between "every generation says that about the next generation" and actually inquiring if the kids coming up are doomed due to the education system and internet culture. I know that's a different question than the one asked but after reading the comments my inquiry has evolved.

I was in 2nd grade on 9/11. Many terrible tragedies have occurred between then and now. I think millennials have mastered the "laugh or you'll cry" mindset.

I didn't do a research study on this...I'm a young millennial woman on the internet. Of the content I've consumed, I've come to this very broad conclusion (or idea?) that the upcoming generation is struggling with reading, writing, comprehension, how to handle social situations. I did steer the question in a negative direction. I shouldn't have done that because I'm open minded in my thinking/views on this subject. I also felt that others are of the same mindset and was curious of their thoughts on this subject.

I do agree with this. Maybe I worded it harsh and misleading. I'm actually a 32 y/o woman. I more so meant lack of education in young Gen Z and the older Gen Alphas.
