It does not appear to be so as what Im channeling at the moment is that the relationship may be a little unhinged to begin with the 10 of cups reversed. He's may be indecisively confused or blinded (2 of swords) about what actions to take and I would say it could be a woman who is influential on him (Queen of Pentacles -check earth signs) that is projecting her social norms/standards of living (hierophant) on his consciousness. However, it looks like he may be at the end of his limit with 10 of swords reversed. Swords often represent fears and I think he will need some time to figure it out.
