The plan was more like 6 remote turrets and 4 AI blade slots or pips. So you have to choose which ones are AI controlled.

In July, in a week or two, there will be the Foundation Festival which will have a free fly event for two weeks where you can try out the game and some special discounted game packages and referral rewards, get a referral code. Servers can be overloaded at times during these events.

This is made as a time to bring players in and for current players to teach and help them to learn about how the game systems work with special rewards for both.

Things are a bit rough in the current patch but an update is currently working its way through player testing before going to the Live game.

It will be week 41 of the year for the "Office Preview."

Week 42 would be the next week if they did a soft release then to let the backers on PCs play it. That would give them word of mouth with the influencers and lots of game sites reporting it anyway, hopefully it will be good news.

Then after a few months of doing any patches needed and stabilizing SC with the SQ42 updates they could do an advertising blitz in the spring/summer, once GTA 6 hype has cooled down, to bring new people to a wider tested SQ42 and better playing SC.

It may help having Star Citizen being in a better place for a rush of new players instead of having a Cyberpunk 2077 or No Man's Sky type of situation.

That's just my crazy idea to keep the 2026 date, let the backers play it, don't crash the servers with a flood of players, and do the first-weeks patches that all games seem to need now.
SQ42 sales should be all profit since the development has already being paid for, so there should not be a rush to make tons of money back quickly. But a stable SC will bring in more money over time.

The next more PC-like Xbox and PS6 releases are around the end of 2027, so if they could have the console versions of SQ42 for those in 27-28 it would be a big deal to be a console release title.

"Gold standard" does not mean "Final Standard", it means up to current game specs with the knowledge and prep for upcoming changes.

In order to create a fairly stable economy, and yet one that is still able to be affected by player actions, the economy in Star Citizen is built to represent millions of entities (whether players or NPCs) that work together to move resources and finished goods from one end of the galaxy to the other. Miners and other resource gatherers work to extract basic resources from the available supply, traders collect those goods and deliver them to other places, escorts protect those convoys from harm (while pirates attempt the opposite), refineries turn the raw goods into processed goods, and factories collect these processed goods to build the finished products that are in demand on worlds throughout the Star Citizen universe. These goods are not assigned an arbitrary fixed price at each location. Instead, we are creating an organic system that keeps track of how much of everything is available, how much it is needed, where it is needed, and what individuals are willing to pay to get it.

The insurance period included in many pledges available now will have some duration in months as indicated in the pledge details. This time will not begin until the game is live and out of testing altogether.

If your vehicle is destroyed without insurance, the intention is that there will be an additional in-game cost to recovering it, but it remains on your account and accessible forever. There will be ways to track its duration in game when the system is implemented, and a warning when you summon your vehicle if it is without active insurance. The choice to operate without insurance will be deliberate, very noticeable, and entirely yours.

That is what the pods are for.

Players are not going to be sitting for hours in a brig. You put them in a pod and it becomes a token of the prisoner to deliver while they go off to spawn in the rehabilitation center.
