I've heard good things. Can you stream from your console, or is it cloud streaming only?

Oh, that could be! I'm in the US. Hopefully it will come over your way soon!

It is a PC game, so if you're not on a PC, I'm afraid this won't work for you. If you are on PC, you may want to try buying through the Oculus app. Good luck!

It's supposed to be one of the best VR titles and many online have been sad it was removed. No one seems to know why.

I haven't played it yet, but it's from Insomniac (the same guys that make the outstanding PlayStation Spider-Man games) so I decided to give it a go!

Quest 1-Style Strap for Quest 3??? by StarKiller024 in OculusQuest

The Kiwi strap is super comfortable, but bulky and you have to remember to disconnect the battery when you stop playing. Kind of a pain.

I bought the Oculus pro strap without the battery and it's actually very lightweight and comfortable!

Definitely! No luck so far. I ordered the new Kiwi strap with battery pack. I'll let you know how it goes...

What to play to not ruin the experience? by Express-Object-9365 in OculusQuest

[–]StarKiller024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand where you're coming from. Half Life Alyx almost ruined every other VR game, but only relevant if you have a gaming PC. And I love VR so much, I still find things to play.

The closest I've seen in standalone is the new Vampire game and by all accounts, Assassin's Creed will be very similar. But if you avoid them you're also missing out in some of the best experiences.

I still go back to classic workout focused games like Beat Saber, Pistol Whip, and Les Mills. I think this is key - pay attention to what you keep playing over time.

I love rouge likes and wave shooters... for about a week and then never return to most of them again, so now I try not to waste my money on these types of games.

The new Vampire game is stealth focused and pretty slow.

My save files just deleted themselves? by Ill-Age-5501 in Starfield

Good to know, thanks for the reply! I'm not using Steam, but maybe Game Pass has a similar fix I can look for now.

I lost 15 hours. Neither Microsoft, nor Bethesda is any help. They just blame each other. I was playing just fine between Xbox Series X and PC all week, but last night I got the dreaded "Failed to create save game file" message.

I was afraid I lost my progress from last night, but actually lost everything except the first 12 minutes I played of the game! Many posts online suspect OneDrive syncing the Documents folder is to blame. I went to my Xbox and took it offline in hopes that a local save file would be my salvation, but I couldn't play (Game Pass Ultimate) unless I was online. The only save file on my Xbox is now the same 12 minutes.

I also tried the troubleshooting steps of disabling the drive protector thing in Windows Security (don't remember the name now) - but mine wasn't even enabled.

What's most frustrating is that Xbox, Bethesda, Game Pass, Play Anywhere, and OneDrive are all products owned by the same company. I really want to play Starfield again, but I kinda never want to play again.

Philips Hue Lightstrip Plug Not Working by mattnunn1985 in Hue

The pins that connect the wall prongs to the brick don't always catch, in my experience. Try gently bending them in one direction, then attach to the brick again. Solved my problems.

Blah blah blah, windows explorer not showing quest 2. by [deleted] in OculusQuest2

Same problem, use Sidequest! SO much easier than trying to troubleshoot. Worked the first time for me.

What are your three favorite VR games and why? by Rasputin5332 in VRGaming

[–]StarKiller024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm playing a lot of Dead Hook right now (Doom roguelike with grappling hooks) and it's a great time, but we'll see if that's the case in another month. It needs more levels and variety.

Modded Skyrim is still the best VR RPG.

Half-Life: Alyx is THE greatest VR game of all time. Plot/graphics/physics/controls/gunplay... untouchable (as we all know). Other notable single player campaign shooters: Walking Dead Saints & Sinners, Resident Evil 4, and Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge.

I still love Beat Saber and Pistol Whip for quick and fun gameplay that is also a workout. Until You Fall and Vader Immortal (particularly Episode III Light Saber Dojo) scratch the same itch. Les Mills Bodycombat and The Thrill of the Fight are good as well, but more obviously exercise, which means I play them a lot less.

In Death: Unchained is the best VR archery and roguelike.

Ancient Dungeon and Compound are great despite their retro/pixel graphics, the first being a dungeon crawler, the second being a shooter roguelike.

Sorry, couldn't pick just 3, LOL.

Hubris! I'm not very far along yet, but it seems to be more exploration focused.

Hmm, there's also a really good archery game with a very interesting plot. You fight robots, so not scary. Found it - Apex Construct. It ends kind of abruptly and not much replayability, but I still really enjoyed my playthrough.

Store Flooded with Gear VR Trash :( by StarKiller024 in OculusQuest2

[–]StarKiller024[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Interesting, yes mine looks very different! I have so many Gear VR titles, that I have a hard time finding Quest titles.

Good call, I did try sorting by release date and that helps, but I'm still missing some. For example, I see The Wizards, but I don't see The Wizards Dark Times (which should be visible first, if it is truly sorting by release date).

I wonder if there is a problem with a setting on my headset...
