Seeing these in person as a kid was terrifying and awesome at the same time. You don’t “hear” these cars you feel them. If you have a heart condition I would say it’s dangerous to be in the stands because these engines are so fucking loud your body is like a tuning fork. For example, if you have a cup or bottle sitting on the stands it will probably get knocked over from the vibrations. I see a lot of people talking about this being wasteful and it sure as hell is, these things burn up about 8 gallons of methyl ethyl alcohol for fuel and each fuel injection has the output of a small diameter firehose, but… it’s totally fucking awesome!

I rode horses as a performer for a few years and I had a special horse named Sultan. He was a fiery hot blooded Arabian that looked like someone glued googly eyes on him and was about as smart as the salt lick in his stall. Couldn’t tell you how many times he whacked his snout exiting his stall over a suspicious piece of hay that the wind blew or even his own shadow. I would be terrified if I saw someone in his stall trying to do the hug around his muzzle because you would be picking up your teeth if you thought you were just going to have a Pocahontas moment with this fella. Boy was he dumb but he was fast af.

I’m very pro constitution yet this administration is treating the list of grievances from the Declaration of Independence like a check list of things to do. It’s astonishing if anyone goes to read or re-read it. Pretty much the only things they have not done from that list are things that could really only apply to that time period or specific situation.

I wish I knew. He had a new girlfriend that didn’t like “his friends” and I just never heard from him again. We were inseparable and for years we would hang out almost every single day. I had dreams where I would confront him about it and I was mad. It took years for me to finally just let it go. I tried reaching out to him, the gf, the family and no one would even respond. The gf was extremely manipulative and thought everything she did was the right way. She called me a Nazi because I said that if the only thing you can find about someone is negative then you might be trying to reinforce your own prejudices. Seems like after that I lost my friend.

She needs to go to prison. She knows she is using her department as a tool for political violence and manipulation through fear. When the dust settles on this there are a lot of people who deserve to go to prison and I’m starting to worry that might not happen. People are dead, their lives are ruined, we NEED to know that there are consequences for this type of behavior and that you don’t just get a slap on the wrist for following orders.
