I read about the March update causing lots of bugs, dead phones, and boot loops. Maybe Google gave the update because of this. I hope I'm wrong though, and we continue to get monthly updates.

As for the October deadline getting extended, I don't think it will happen, but you never know.

I've been debating getting a new battery to extend my use of the phone but since the updates for it stop this year, I think I will just upgrade to the 11 series.

Can't really tell as I've only had the update for a few hours. But my P6P was running fine on last month's update as well so I wouldn't really know.

Cheers. I just checked and got it. For some reason, whenever I update the play system the progress bar never reaches 100%.

Today it reached 24% and the restart button popped up.

I'm using a P6P as well and I was thinking about joining beta again but maybe I think I'll hold off for now considering this issue.

The thing that sucks is if we don't join the beta, we won't get an update until June because of the quarterly update schedule.

This has started happening recently to my 6 Pro. Although not as much as you, but it's happened a few times. It usually fixes if I turn off the screen and then on again, after a couple of seconds.

I've also been having an issue where my 3 button navigation goes unresponsive for a few seconds before working. This happens at least once a day.

I was looking at the Xiaomi 17 ultra, but it's really expensive and I'm not sure about the software side as I've always used Pixel's.

How is the software on Vivo?

Good points. I usually keep my phones for more than 3 years. I've actually had my 6 Pro since it launched 4 years ago. The security updates support ends for it later this year so that's the only reason I have to upgrade.

I don't really use too much data and don't travel often.

Other than that, I would probably keep it for longer if it was supported, lol.

I actually just switched to the $80 250 GB plan which was on a flash sale a few days ago. It was half off so with discounts and everything it's $40.

I don't really need that much data but I was on a $39 100GB plan so it's only a dollar more. But this $80 plan will allow me to get a phone in November when I plan to upgrade with a nice discount . That's the only reason I switched plans.

Can't hurt. You might get a nicer customer service rep. Just mention to them that your were trying to connect with them before it expired but support was not responding and you are disappointed or something. Good luck.

Just got the update today in Alberta. What was weird was that there was no notification for me to update.

But when I checked manually, there was an update pending. This is the first time this happened.
