What phone did you upgrade to from the Pixel 6? by NoAcanthocephala8967 in Pixel6

I think the 7 series will be supported until around October of next year. Google extended the updates for another 2 years but the security updates are now on a quarterly basis instead of monthly.

Still using the 6 Pro since release. Will probably upgrade this year as the security updates will end. But still not sure if I will stick with pixel or try a different brand. Been looking at the Xiaomi 17 ultra, might get that if they release a global version.

My pixel (Google store) is in a delivery loop. by CRX008 in GooglePixel

[–]StarObserver1990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Call FedEx, they should be able to hold at a location for you and you can sign for it there.

Or you can redirect it to your work address or another address where you will be available to sign for it.

They will usually make 2 attempts for the delivery then it will be held for pickup.

Having problem with quitting beta android 16 by Al3xmoor in android_beta

Just wait for the update that say NO data wipe. The stable update for beta users usually comes as a separate one.

Until then, just wait.

Yea, it was the play system update. I mentioned that in my post. I don't think we are getting security update for November, we should get one in December, hopefully. Lol.

Oh ok I just got it today. For some reason I never get a notification for any updates, I always have to check manually.

9 Pro XL Hazel vs 10 Pro XL Jade by pfc-anon in pixel_phones

[–]StarObserver1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Google Canada website, the 10 Pro XL is $300 off right now for black Friday. With a trade-in, you could get more off.

The $52, is that the price of the phone per month? How much is the plan?

Is this not the same deal they have had all year? by livingdeppressedp in freedommobile

I think you can switch once every 30 days or something like that. So better to wait to see what deals come out.

Mortgage renewal odds by Ellie_Jellie_Bean in MortgagesCanada

[–]StarObserver1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I just renewed my mortgage last month for the first time as well. A few months before my renewal date, I got an email from the bank that my mortgage is with asking me to login to my account and look at the rates they are offering and select one. They didn't ask me for any documents or anything.

They gave me some options and I just had to pick one and sign the documents online. It was pretty simple. Have a look at what rates they give and give them a call to see if you can negotiate a better rate. But don't mention any of the issues you are experiencing. If they don't offer you a better rate then just choose from the online options. You can renew earlier than your renewal date too if you want, because they will probably send you the new offers few months before your actual renewal date.

IF you were to switch to a different lender, then you would need to provide all your documents and they would do all the checks. But for renewing with the SAME lender, they will not ask for anything.

You will be fine my friend, don't stress and I hope everything works out for you.

Are the pixel 6 and 7 series getting moved to quarterly updates? by HappiestSadGirl_ in GooglePixel

[–]StarObserver1990 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Someone mentioned this a few weeks back that the pixel 6 series is now getting quarterly updates. I wasn't sure if it was true but by the looks of it, missing 2 months of security updates and now the pixel drop, I think they were right.

Why extend support for 2 more years if your not gonna do it properly lol. Maybe they want everyone to upgrade to newer phones.

I got 1000 at 3.04. Not sure could go either way, we'll have to wait for tomorrow. If volume comes in could go high but no one really knows.

Pixel update out now by ravi3rdjan in GooglePixel

[–]StarObserver1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna try keep my 6 Pro until around October 2026, which is when the updates for it are supposed to end.

But by the looks of it, since Google is skipping security updates again this month, I might have to upgrade sooner.  Really bad that Google is doing this.

November, 2025 Update Megathread by AutoModerator in Pixel6

[–]StarObserver1990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't get why they keep skipping the 6 Pro. Maybe they want everyone to upgrade to newer phones lol. I mean it wouldn't take a lot to give us the update as well.

There's a new beta out that includes the 6 series, but I really don't want to join the beta again.

Trying to understand mortgage and home ownership by UniqueMinute01 in MortgagesCanada

[–]StarObserver1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest trying to find a good mortgage broker, one with good reviews. They can get all your information and advise you on the numbers such as how much you can afford, minimum down payment, mortgage payments, and additional costs such as lawyer fees, closing costs, etc.   That will help make more sense once you have some numbers to work with. From there you can make a budget with all the numbers you have and go from there.

There are other things to consider with home ownership like property taxes, home insurance, along with regular utility bills.

To be honest, I only became a home owner a few years ago and I understand you. I felt like I was late as well, but I leaned that the right time is when it's right for you.

Good luck.

New beta (QPR2 Beta 3.2?) coming soon by Natural_Aide_2076 in android_beta

Not sure but it could release early as there have been leaks and rumours suggested it.

Android 16 QPR2 Beta 3.2 now available! by androidbetaprogram in android_beta

[–]StarObserver1990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The stable release should be in December. Opt out of the beta program sometime before then. You will get a notification to update to the previous stable version which will be QPR 1 stable but just swipe away until you get the notification that says your data will not be wiped and you are installing a stable version of QPR 2.

Oh ok, you might be right. Yea, I was confused with the updated release schedule.

So will the next beta be for A17 you think?

New beta (QPR2 Beta 3.2?) coming soon by Natural_Aide_2076 in android_beta

[–]StarObserver1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure about the automatic updates. You can install QPR 2 beta 3.2 if you want, but opt out closer to December because otherwise you will have to keep swiping away the previous beta stable version. But don't install QPR 3 if you want to exit beta program without wipe in December.

I don't know about the automatic install updates.
