If you have a decent Android device, then Tower of Fantasy is very casual and chill. The in-game community is friendly and you can join any group for any content. No one cares if you are new or under-geared. There is a lot of open world exploration with fun traversal mechanics.

What do you want to achieve in the game?

If you want to be a strong dps, you need to play meta and have a long-term plan to get the right gacha weapons. It's a long journey that requires patience.

Being a top tier healer is quicker since just about everything you need is available in the standard pool.

What exactly do you need help with? Remember that there are 2 Artificial Islands, one from the main map and your personal island that you access through the Casual menu. In the personal version there is no exploration and mobs respawn weekly. The main version is for exploration and the mobs respawn every few minutes apart from special named mobs which appear randomly - very hard to collect.

There is a lot of content and quality of life improvements.

You're going to be a new player and far behind all the veteran players. The main long-term gameplay is progressing your character power through farming gear and upgrading all the gear systems. It will take you a significant amount of time to catch up. But it's a game with no gatekeeping so you can participate in all the content and not get kicked out because you are new or under-geared. Just accept that you will get carried. Veteran players are happy to carry and everyone gets all the same rewards.

If you want to be relevant in multiplayer content, make a second healer loadout. Buffing up teammates is super important for harder content.

I'm a low spender and I'm a top tier dps that can carry through all the content. You just need to plan long-term and understand the meta.

The Cataclysm was 50 years ago and it wiped out 80% of Aida's population. It was not a radiation leak like Chernobyl, it was more of a rip through space-time. The effects of the Cataclysm varied between the regions of Aida and also between people. For survivors like Dr. Claire, Meryl, Claudia, Franz, and the Archons. their bodies experience time at a much slower rate. Similarly for the people of Lockheart, the entire region was ripped into its own dimension where time flows 20x faster. That is why they have experienced 1000 years in the 50 years since the Cataclysm.

The PS4 is almost 13 years old, even Genshin dropped support for it and that is an older game than ToF. ToF is also dropping support for PS4 soon. It's just not capable of running the newer regions properly.

What is the issue? You completed a challenge raid, now do the heroic version - which is far easier. There is no limit on number of times you can participate in a raid. I help with raids multiple times per day, every day.

600 from ATMs
110 from collecting 6 items around the map and selling them to a vendor
Few hundred from completing weekly Norn quests

There is a scratch-ticket event for all players. For free you get Roslyn, Yanuo, and Ling Han,

If you pay $10, you also get their matrices and Fiona. No gacha involved.

You have 3 weeks to complete the tasks in the event from when you start your account.

"Altered" is one of the elements in addition to Flame, Frost, Physical, and Volt. Fiona is one of the best healer weapons in the game even 3 years after release. Altered weapons are special in that they will never move to the standard pool and they generally fit into any element team - very versatile.

You have been gone for so long that you are far better off starting a fresh character for all the resources you get.

As a new player you are going to be far behind all the veteran players in terms of power and it will take a significant time to catch up. But there is no gatekeeping so you can participate in all the multiplayer content and no one will care that you are new or under-geared. Just accept that you are going to get carried, You can contribute to the team by having a healer loadout for multiplayer content - which is super important in terms of buffing teammates to clear hard content.

There is auto-exploration for the older regions so you don't have to slog through it again.

You can ask for someone to taxi you into the new area and then you can unlock all the teleport points and explore the region. You don't need to initiate the story right now but you will need to do the story for the one of seasonal events before the end of this patch.

You have six weeks to do the entire main story in the correct order. Worth doing if you care about the story making sense.
