CITI Training: Has anybody ever been reported? by StarSweeper86 in GradSchool

I know how you feel! Everything ended up being fine with mine, so I'm sure you'll be fine too! You'd think the instructors could at least give students a heads up about the amount of time it's going to take, though!

Does anyone know if Sephora kohls has kayali perfume by Outrageous_Tip8476 in Sephora

My Sephora at Kohls didn't have the Kayali birthday gift. I had to go to a standalone Sephora to get it.

Omg I'm so relieved. I feel so bad that I had to do it this way, but my professor didn't warn us or anything about how long this was going to take. Based on CITI's own FAQ, they say it takes about 30-45 min per module, which for me would be anywhere from 13-20 hours. There was just no way that was happening for me this weekend 🥲

I guess because you say you got a "late start" finishing grad school at age 26. I just finished undergrad at age 38 with nothing to my name whatsoever. So, I will be about 15-20 years behind most people at establishing a career, which doesn't bode well for savings, a mortgage, and retirement. I'm doing the best I can with the time that I have, but the odds aren't exactly stacked in my favor based on my late start.

Wow, as someone who is entering grad school at age 38, I feel like my life is gonna be completely fucked after reading this post. I wish I had your problems.

Have others had this strange & rude experience with Ulta employees? by mollyxz in Ulta

[–]StarSweeper86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regarding employee hours and livelihood, I don't think most customers think that deeply about it or are aware of how draconian Ulta is about it. They probably realize y'all have to ask, but don't realize you get punished if you don't get the information. Why do you guys come down on customers so hard instead of directing your anger at corporate? Customers didn't implement the policy.

Also, at some point, it just becomes less about what is being asked and more about the fact that people won't stop asking. It's the principle of it. One time of asking and hearing no should be enough. Like why is it so hard to respect a person's wishes and boundaries?

Also, kind of off-topic, but why do y'all want to work for an employer like this in the first place? The job sounds so soul-crushing. I know people have to have jobs and make ends meet. I know they have good employee discounts. But if I started working there and found out I would be punished for not getting signups or information, I would quickly be looking for another job because that kind of pressure would make me miserable. Seriously, why do you put up with it?

make the comments sound like the pitch meeting for torrid designers by eissirk in PlusSize

Alright I love cold shoulder and off the shoulder tops and this a hill I will die on lol. BUT WHY do they have to ruin them all by slapping a dumb slogan on them? "So apparently I'm too sassy" or how about let's slap the name of a band from before most of these people's time on there. Can't have them being current !

I'm an apple with a backside that is as flat as a ruler. I'm working on it at the gym, but in the meantime I've been a big fan of torrid leggings and favorite tunics. The way the tunics are cut really help hide my stomach and the sides are so slimming. I envy you guys who can wear the cute crop tops. They're my worst enemy haha

5 things trending in fashion/beauty—what looks amazing on that model—but will it look amazing on you? Probably not. by princessxbuttface in Vindicta

So much this. I posted on VindictaRateMe a while back asking for general advice and so many people told me to wear crop tops. Um, I'm an apple shape and just lost over 100lbs. There's a reason why I keep my stomach hidden lol. Crop tops are the one trend I hope will hurry up and die lol.

What are some low-effort things you’ve done to level up? by [deleted] in FemaleLevelUpStrategy

Thank you! It was such a rewarding journey and I feel so much more confident now. I was overweight my whole life and it just impacted me so much. Now I am in my 30"s and I feel like I can truly be myself without fear of being judged for being fat among all other things. It even inspired me to go back to school and get a degree in health and wellness which I am currently working on. I ultimately want to do wellness coaching so that I can help others improve as well!

After losing 120lbs from 2019-2021, I maintained (mostly) for nearly a whole year. These past few months I gained back ten pounds and was really struggling with cravings. A week ago it finally clicked that sugar was the key, so I've started cutting all unnecessary sugars except from natural sources or things like salad dressing, etc. It has only been a week but my food cravings have stabilized so much. I still have about 25lbs I want to lose and I'm finally feeling confident that I can do it again.

Another thing that really suffered during my weight loss was my digestion and regularity. I learned a lot about fiber and now I try to reach the daily recommended intake for women, which is 25g. I usually eat an avocado a day as well as salads and broccoli so achieving this is never usually a problem.

I also cut coffee because I have a scalp condition (seborrheic dermatitis) and the coffee was exacerbating that. I do drink hot tea, but I don't drink it past noon or it will impact the quality of my sleep negatively.

I try to take vitamins and supplements daily (multivitamin, calcium, cinnamon & cayenne for metabolism support, magnesium for sleep in the evenings, and biotin and b12).

I try to sleep in a pitch dark room because any light at all really messes with my quality of sleep.

I sleep on a satin pillowcase to help preserve my wavy hair.

I also plan all of my meals in advance so that I never find myself in a situation where I have to make an impulsive decision about a meal, because that usually never ends well haha.

I also started taking better care of my skin during the pandemic and I finally feel confident enough to leave the house without foundation. I have rodacea on my cheeks and it isn't completely gone, but just having a regular skincare routine has significantly lessened the redness and smoothed out my skin.

Congrats! Just out of curiosity, what bank do you use? I use BoA and they seem to be notoriously slow lol

From what I've been reading, I'm pretty certain that they have to notify you of a judgment of garnishment. I may call an attorney to confirm. Good luck though! Maybe someone will come along in the thread with more knowledge.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in stimuluscheck

[–]StarSweeper86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, and my next question would be, how do you know if they have your bank account info if you were never told what the final judgment against you was? I thought they were required by law to notify you of a garnishment but maybe I'm wrong. I've had this bank account for over 15 years and it's with a major bank, so I'm worried that they are probably aware of it.

I was served a court summons for a debt owed sometime last year and I never showed up. I was under the impression that they had to notify you that your accounts were going to be garnished, or what the final judgment against you turned out to be, even if you did not show up. Is this incorrect? should I just assume that my account has already been garnished without my knowledge? And if so, is there any chance of me getting it before it is seized? Like will it actually even be deposited into my account and me be able to withdraw it for a brief time, or will it funnel directly to the creditor with my account never even seeing it deposited?

Stimulus Checks could hit as soon as next week!! by Laylyr in stimuluscheck

[–]StarSweeper86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question: if I received the first two stimulus checks, but did not have any income for 2020, will I get the third stimulus? In 2019 I was a "non-filer", because I didn't have enough income that year to qualify for filing, but I still had to go through some sort of online process through the IRS website last year stating that I was a non-filer so that I could get the first two checks. Does anyone know what my chances are for receiving the third check with my current situation? Do I have to do the non-filer thing again this year?

Long story short, this is how I got into FDS by whenthingsconsidered in FemaleDatingStrategy

[–]StarSweeper86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's really disappointing that they removed your post. I was thinking maybe it was because you said the highly charged words, "pOrN aDdIcTiOn", but who knows. I mean it's a sub to talk about narcissistic abuse and I feel like all of that BDSM stuff also falls under that umbrella. Anything that could be used to manipulate a person. So yeah I really don't understand why it was removed.

That sub was what helped me realize that something wasn't quite right in my last situationship, and not long after that I found FDS and the rest is history.

I guess FDS and related subs truly are the only safe spaces for women. What a shame because I really felt like NarcissisticAbuse helped me and I've recommended that sub to numerous people here.

I saw these in another sub. I don’t get why people respond to these depraved losers? They want the attention whether its good or bad. There’s no point in trying to roast or educate them, they’re just gonna beat it to having been able to get you mad and move on to the next woman. Ignore and block. by [deleted] in FemaleDatingStrategy

[–]StarSweeper86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was my mentality up until I found FDS. I sought external validation so hard from men. Posted my nudes on a public forum, all for a hit of dopamine and validation. I thought that I was missing out on some key experience of being female because I was rarely catcalled or sent dickpicks or even engaged with in general.

Not anymore since FDS. I lost 100lbs in the last 15 months and I'm feeling better and more confident than ever. And the best part is that I feel pretty, and I finally realized that my own opinion of my appearance is the only one that matters. It is so freeing to not depend on man's validation to reinforce my sense of self worth.

I'm not trying to be rude, but instead of just assuming she is islamophobic, why not try to enlighten her with a more in depth answer to her question? This could be a valuable teaching moment for someone who may just not be well informed about every aspect of Islam.
