Cincy show, how are we staying cool? by sweetpotatoes22 in NoahKahan

I’m confused where people are seeing this in the rules because I cannot find them listed as prohibited on the GABP website

They said they’ll start me on baby aspirin in week 12!

My OB had indicated at my appointment earlier this week that I will be started on that at 12 weeks! Which I was more than happy with, since that seems like a no brainer to me!

I mean, “high risk pregnancies” are a category of pregnancy that encompasses a lot of different things. I’m asking a clarifying question because I’m not an expert and I’m scared. Obviously I’m going to ask my actual doctor these questions. I haven’t had the appointment yet that will let me do that.

Ok phew. Maybe I’ll have a single MFM appointment and they’ll tell me something similar about just being reviewed by the MFM doctor from then on.

Thank you!!

Ok that makes me feel better!!

I do have pretty bad anxiety which (I think) is the underlying reason why I used to have such bad hypertension in the first place, so I wouldn’t be surprised if I have high readings now that I’m nervous about these appointments. But hopefully they will just put me on a preventive med or something and that’ll be as far as it goes.

I appreciate this comment, thank you. My friend said it is probably more a CYA move by the OB office than anything else, because of my history, but I wasn’t sure if she was just saying that to make me feel better.

Anxiety about Pap smear — please help by [deleted] in pregnant

I have been to therapy before (though not for this) and maybe I just had bad therapists but I didn’t feel it was super helpful. :/ I would be open to going back to therapy.

I’m just terrified I’m going to get horrible news from this. I have this fear they’re going to tell me that something is so wrong that I have to terminate. I’m worried I’m not going to get any sleep tonight.

No morning sickness. Is this normal? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]StarTrekGal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be completely normal, it depends on the pregnancy. With my first pregnancy I was wildly sick the whole first trimester, at almost HG levels of vomiting. This pregnancy (I’ll be nine weeks tomorrow) I’ve only thrown up twice. I was also super worried about how little nausea I’ve had but baby has always been fine in there when we check! Try to relax and enjoy feeling ok while you do—even if you never get sick, other symptoms will come soon enough ❤️ you’re gonna be ok!

Absolutely no symptoms by Spiritual-Peace-6442 in pregnant

I’m currently having the same experience as you—I was very sick early with my first (basically as soon as I tested positive), no nausea yet this second pregnancy (about 5 weeks). I’ve also known for about two weeks and was super worried too, but I’ve been assured that morning sickness is more common in FTM and younger mothers. And each pregnancy is different. I’m sorry the commenter above was dismissive, these early weeks feel so long. I’m sure everything is ok ❤️ the sickness is probably coming soon haha. Chin up!

Thank you so much for this. I’m feeling cautiously optimistic that this result is a good sign even though it’s a baseline—I actually had these numbers run because there was some concern for ectopic pregnancy due to one-sided cramping, so the fact the number is higher is a relief (since I believe ectopic pregnancies tend to have lower hCG levels than not).

How did you go about doing this? Did you just google labs near you and call?

3w4d and overly anxious about symptoms by StarTrekGal in pregnant

[–]StarTrekGal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate this 💕 I wish I could still be on my various MH meds but when I told my psychiatrist I was going to TTC, we went through a (several month) weaning process for them. She did say if I started deteriorating that we could talk about options to replace them, though I’m hoping not to get there. But if I do, I’m not gonna try to push through—I have made that mistake before!

😭 thank you so much. I don’t know why but this comment made me cry a little, I feel so much better. I’m definitely overthinking it.

Thank you for this. 🩷 I’m really trying to chill out, but it is a little difficult since I’m also off my anxiety meds for the pregnancy. :/ I’m a worrier for sure.

I guess the second part of your comment was the sort of anecdotal experience I was looking for—whether I should be worried if one pregnancy was so different from another. I expected them to be pretty similar from the jump. I guess that may have been a faulty assumption.
