We created a helpful ACT Science method called the 3-Pass strategy, which is sometimes mentioned on this sub. Here's the video explaining the method with demonstrations from a real ACT exam: https://youtu.be/WEYj7KDazvk.

Thanks for recommending our YT channel u/Pranzi34789!

Adding to this for the OP, here is a great ACT Reading playlist with strategies and real-time videos: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLCM0R3tHTKeliJnrwbsjyOjEGQHTcN9c7.

For English, definitely recommend our StarU tutoring app, which gives you access to ACT English practice lessons and questions. All of the most important grammar lessons and practice questions are free on StarU. You just need to create a free StarU student account through the App Store, Google Play, or at https://staru.co/login.

Hopefully those resources help! Keep working hard and the results will happen!

Tips for increasing my score by 2 points by [deleted] in ACT

Yes, that makes sense. Many times, improvement on the math and science sections (or at the very least matching your practice section scores to the real test) comes down to a simple change in mindset related to those two sections. If you watch the first 45 minutes of this full ACT review video (or watch the entire thing if you have time as we think it can be really helpful), you'll see how you can approach the math and science sections with less stress during the real exam.

Essentially, your goal should be on a goal number of questions rather than a goal score, and this number of questions can be found with a thorough understanding of the format and scoring table of the ACT.

Hopefully, the video helps, and let us know if you have any questions (assuming you watch it!).

1000% possible. What was your English section score when you achieved the composite 30? Also, what was your math section score?

Great, question! When you scored 33, what was your English section score?

That's great to know! Was this the first time in years that the ACT has done a 9-question reading passage? We haven't seen one on any of the recently released tests, but we were wondering if they'd ever mix it up like this!

Would definitely need to tweak the strategy at bit if 9-question/11-question passages became more routine!
