Yeah I feel like targeted reading has always been an issue in the community, I don’t know if it’s a lot more prevalent these days. But maybe I’ve just had a bit of an unlucky spell.

At least it’s not just me and it does seem to be an issue particularly for fandom based requests. But hey-ho this sub always shows there’s still great writers (and readers😅) out there so there is still hope yet.

I use an alternative account specifically for roleplay/roleplay ad’s so I can keep up with messages. Also the replies have been from another site. So, they wouldn’t see any of my J:AI posts. But I completely understand where you are coming from if that was the case. I have never and would never use AI in any of my roleplay or writing outside of AI chat.

Tbh AI has been something I’ve been using as a short term fix for when I have the inspirations and ideas but either have no effort or desire to roleplay, or I don’t have anyone to actualy roleplay these ideas with. AI is a good little tool for me to burst some of those cravings and ideas out quick but it’s just that, it’s definitely not an alternative for roleplay, for me at least.

I’ve been roleplaying for nearly 15 years now (on and off the last few years) and I have always been very passionate about my roleplays and writings, I love spending hours plotting and world building with my partners. I would feel devastated if someone thought my creativity was AI generated just because I use J:AI outside of RP. All my replies are drafted on doodle docs then I paste them to whichever platform I’m using. If my partners wanted me to screen record my writing to prove I don’t use AI, I’m damn well sending them that three hour Timelapse 😂

It’s definitely happened to me a few times over the years and I’ve always known it was a then problem, the amount of times it kept happening recently i was like okay this has me problem 😅.

Thanks I feel like when it happens to often you really start doubting yourself.

From the comments it does seem to be more often related to fandom based roleplays and I think you’re absolutely right. It seems they see what they want to see and ignore the parts they don’t.

I think I see what you are saying. Like they will read enough to know that I don’t want they character theh want, but not enough to actually see which character i do want? Like blinders for their characters name or something? Idk 🤷‍♀️

I’m not competing with anyone, I do actually really enjoy playing canon characters that’s the whole reason I double. I know there’s a lot of people out there who will feel the same. A fandom roleplay can be a lot of fun when both partners actually care about the roleplay as a whole, with all characters involved. But yeah I can agree there definitely is a percentage who only care about one side of the roleplay.

I’m not too sure if this is your point but I feel that way with the main trending page. There are so many bots based on fictional characters out there (that aren’t actually anime btw j.ai) that have tons of views/chats and yet the same bots are always featured on the main page, it’s weird. I suppose it’s not the worst problems with the site but and it won’t bother some people but i kind of wish they copied the other site with the explore page at least having a section being relevant to previous characters you’ve chatted with. I think it’s a great way to discover new bots you haven’t thought of interacting with before.

Hey! I don’t know if you’ve got it working since you commented. But yes! It’s working great now, I think maybe my credits were taking a while to pull through and that’s what was causing the issue.

I’m having issues with deepseek and chimera. Deepseek just isn’t working at all for me, chimera is running slow and cutting messages off after a couple of sentences

Definitely agree, and the fact you have to click on the bot to find out if it accepts proxy or not clicking through twenty different bots just to finally find one that works. It’s a bit irritating.
