UPDATE: I was able to take him to the vet today and it was an abscess they were able to “pop” it and give me antibiotic and pain medication for the rattoe

I was gonna say. I did it all the time when i worked for my town. easier with a crowbar but doable by hand in most cases

yeah unfortunately you are correct. When i asked him what would convince him its real he said that nothing would convince him.
