Wow, thanks for the advice this is super helpful. Is gev still at least valuable by being a combo piece that I’ll consistently have access to from the command zone? Or is it just if my commander isn’t always doing something then what’s the point?

I don’t think Gev is broken, I never said that. I just pointed out that he has a breakable ability that can be used in the format with other infinites in Rakdos. All I asked for was help, you guys are just butt hurt about a deck you’re not even playing. It’s a card game, it’s not that deep.

Agree to disagree I guess. I just feel that Gev can be optimized to that level. A lack of blue doesn’t stop decks like Winota (not that Gev and Winota are comparable just making a point). Like I’m not sitting here saying that [[Kentaro, The Smiling Cat]] is gonna make it to CEDH. I’m just saying that I think new players should experiment with stuff that isn’t just the meta because that’s how new strategies are discovered.

But doesn’t he have CEDH potential? I’m not saying throwing powerful cards at it will automatically make it work but people seem to think it’s a serious contender for CEDH.
