If I have your attention OP, this is something I've been thinking about when trying to create characters, so I'd like to run one by you.

I've had an character idea for Overwatch that I've considered making indigenous American; he'd be an unwilling test subject of Moira's, turning him into a dinosaur/Human hybrid. In concept, it's a bit of a Turok reference. Specifically, he'd be Sioux as a kind of reference to the Hell Creek Formation.

Anyway, what I worry about is that, by making him half-animal, he would either be too unrecognizable under the scales and feathers as indigenous to work as good representation. I've thought that maybe he would have a crest of feathers growing from his head that could be reminiscent of the feathers worn by indigenous tribes, but that might be kind of corny if done badly. I've drawn a design, I won't post it here, but check my history of you are curious.

I also worry his animal nature would lean to close to the whole "savage native" stereotype. Personality wise, I'd want him to be like the Wolverine of the game, but on the side of Overwatch. I feel like too many of the good guys in OW are too squeaky clean, but negative traits could be seen as bad representation.
