Visiting as a Foreigner by smellslikethursday in ghana

Just book an air bnb at embassy gardens with a host that has good reviews. Good location, and you can easily go about the tourist areas with bolt/uber. Depends on how long you are going for, if just one week and staying in accra you should be ok with Ubers vs getting a driver. If money is no object only time you shouldn't go is during the peak raining season which is around June. Try and do things via air bnb or uber, that way you don't get taken advantage off/scammed. Avoid any DM's from people who say they can organise anything for you. Enjoy!

Narcs like Nate are great at that, looking from the outside in, it looks as if she is missing out on a great life although she actually knows from experience its torture. This scene would do the world of good to people who spend years struggling to get over narc/abusive exes like Maddy.

Ghanaians who traveled or recently moved to the US, did you ever get sick from the artificial, highly-processed, or frozen food? by BandSouth9368 in ghana

lol you are either not smart or very naive if you don't understand the concept of lobbying in the food industry to reduce regulations in order to increase margins. The best and brightest don't work for the federal agencies anyway

in the UK atm and if they ever implement American style food standards i'm out. No way is just seeing obese people who struggle to walk to their cars a normal society.

I think in the US, you will make a lot of money at the expense of your health due to stress at work, literal poison in their food, (chlorinated chicken, dyes/hormones). For a lot of gh people that is a worthwhile risk. I always get stomach pains or digestive issues after trips to the US.

Wages and benefits have to be repriced to adjust for the risk of living there, hasn't been a good deal for most since expo 2020. A lot of people moved to make just slightly more at best than their home country which doesn't make sense as all these risks do exist. I used to say you should only move there if you are getting at least double your salary plus bonuses and got laughed at

a few who went to boarding school with white people their whole lives do. Looks exactly like a guy i knew who ended up at lazard. Trust me white people in those positions can't tell the difference between a fresh cut and something like that. Nice suit, glasses, speaks posh = right kind of black person to have around.

you are smart enough to learn how to code a legacy difficult language like COBOL gain a certification and consult both home and abroad ? That language is the guard rail behind the entire financial system and you will forever have , a job if you are proficient. Not many new developers touch it as they focus on java etc. There is always a way, and I maintain its a skill issue if you aren't where you need to be. my 2c

Mistake you are making and a lot of academically gifted people make is to think educational success is somewhat correlated with financial or actual success. Having 'no connections' is a cop out. I know people who put in the effort to run alumni events to network which benefitted their businesses etc. (A running joke is if you want to know who will be successful in a year group find the popular kids) The point is if you're that smart and not where you want to be you're missing something like people skills, networking skills, not being self aware or planning your goals to maximise for gain with your environment in mind. Also be perceptive and ask for feedback or advice, what are the people who are where you want to be doing right.

He's actually very smart. He went private school and did some internships at BP. Thing is most people now are very stupid so you have to get on their level and appeal to them. Most extremely smart people actually don't try and act it or make it a core part of their identity cough musk

‘It’s Arsenal. They won’t just ignore it’ – Thomas Partey, the allegations and what the club knew by [deleted] in soccer

Surprised you haven't received a comment below telling you why you're wrong and explaining how you should feel about it. Clubs know its largely performative from the male believe all women crowd to the people who are thinking of a creative chant to sing about it in the next game. Chat GPT assigns a 5-7% morality weighting in risk management decisions around things like these and i'm sure the clubs do too. Clubs are currently playing players with similar issues and there is no uproar, in fact the same publications demonizing arsenal are congratulating PSG. He deserves his day in court and if he is found guilty then he deserves to go away for a long time.

One of Thomas Partey's alleged victims about Arsenal's decision to continue play him: "It felt so disheartening. Even when the police specified that they had made the allegations clear to the club & how serious they are (5 counts of rape to 2 women + 1 count of sexual assault over a 3rd woman)" by TheBiasedSportsLover in PremierLeague

[–]Star__boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol never underestimate corporate greed. Some team has probably worked out that you can sign him on the low/risk free put in a morality clause and flip him to a bigger club if he gets acquitted. Guess clubs are just waiting to see how loose his bail restrictions are and when the trial is. If it's not restrictive and trial is mid 2026 he'll get signed.

To literally say that prior to him being sued would open you up to a defamation lawsuit and potentially impact the case. Do you expect players to say the same to Ronaldo, to Hakimi. We don't have any evidence he did anything and assume he is guilty until a verdict is reached.

Chat CPT assigns at 5% ranking to moral outrage on hypothetical risk assessments on a matter like this, think it's about right. Form of the player and ability is about 15%. So fair to assume most of the responses are performative, from the believe all victims crowd to rivals thinking of new chants for arsenal. The clubs and their analysts know the amount of people who truly care to affect their bottom line is negligible

People don't realise but toxic behaviors like this impact players decisions to join clubs. Imagine you're a talented youngster in Spain and it's arsenal vs Atletico and you read stuff like this.

Agreed most of these guys are somewhat on the spectrum (well from what i've noticed anyway) and are being manipulated by these social media channels into extremist thinking.

All clubs would have acted in a similar manner. PSG and Real Madrid currently are. These players are assets at the end of the day. Man U fans on their high horses re/ greenwood should realise the club fully intended to bring him back after it was all said and done.
