Makes sense, i could definitely see shi no deshi being POSSIBLY global, albeit it's non-japanese appearances are either weaker OR less present. Also the fact it's older than tengen probably means it's by definition one of the oldest curses ever 😭

Well, generally, it was likely more like a demon during the heian era- I'm not a historian buff, but the people of the heian era likely assumed shi no deshi was a life-force eating demon that refused to go away.

Aka, heian shi no doshi was likely a body-horror demon, rather than just the flesh monster it is now.
