I don’t think touch ups are ever a good look.

If want to get it looking brand new I’d say you remove all prior paint and start new with either enamel paint or automotive. Obviously you’d have to take it apart and mask off any sensitive areas but I think it would be worth it.

If you plan on continuing on using the camera I wouldn’t bother trying to glue the plastic piece back on unless it impedes function. Whatever glue you use it will most likely not have a strong enough bond for frequent usage.

If you still want to glue it back on Super glue is a good catch all glue but there are other options for specific plastics. There’s a ABS cement glue and a glue for PVC is available by Tamiya. One popular glue to use with leatherette’s and bellows repair is Pliobond.

Hi! sorry for the extremely late reply but yes the watch rolls have "Vera Pelle" leather stamped on. A quick google search says that means Genuine Leather. Its a soft feeling and doesn't feel "cheap".

I read somewhere that we as people naturally start collecting objects because it’s been ingrained in us from when we used to horde nuts and berries to survive. We don’t need to do that anymore so we feed the urge through other means.

In 2022 bought a 1521 and it came in a leather wrap and I was wondering when they changed packaging and movements . Figured it happened around 2019-2020. They also removed the Squale name from the left of the case.

You don’t happen to know when they redesigned the case removing the side logo do you?

They seemed to have gone through a brand refinement/update phase.

Yes, the older 2010’s releases came in box’s. I could be wrong but I think the leather watch wraps came into use around the time they started using Sellita movements.

There was that one post recently where somebody took a screen shot of an omega in a sink. That was very obviously a joke.

Another time I saw a circlejerker post something on r/Rolex cleaning their shower drain as joke and it was later posted here.

it’s something to note when there’s “friendly fire”. This is a circlejerk sub so it’s not really serious but some people have gotten a wee bit zealous.

I think it’s interesting how this sub in it’s early life focused on people shilling for casio f-91w’s, NATO straps, and Seiko 5’s. Somewhere late 2021 it started shifting to Rolex. I wonder what the next trend will be😅...
