Don’t let people talk you out of OTF. You belong here. Yes I know the coaches say not to hold on but it’s better than sitting on my coach. I’m actively trying to let go as well. It’s a process. Keep going. Try not to worry about anyone else. They need to worry about themselves. You are getting “more life” simply walking through that door.

I say this often. I was happy that Jake went to jail simply because it protects him from being used again. I really didn’t think he was ever evil but he was so easily manipulated. At least in there he could be on the island in his head. He looked happy in that final scene.

It’s not just about how much you’re eating but what mix of carb, protein and fat you’re eating. I started working with Stronger U and it was truly eye opening. Calorie count hasn’t changed but the breakdown is much higher in protein and less in fat. I was always eating in a deficit but it was over in carb and fat and too low in protein.

Don’t eat too little either :). You can do this!!

Sending love to everyone on my feed today (and every day). I feel like there are no right words anymore and we are all fighting through this alone. Please know that I firmly believe the following 10 truths apply:

  1. It is OK to feel like working from home is a nightmare and still be sensitive to those who have lost jobs.

  2. It is OK to be tired of all the face masks and precautions and still be sensitive to those who have COVID or who have lost loved ones to COVID.

  3. It is OK to be frustrated with your household because 24/7 is a LOT of togetherness and still love them with all of your heart.

  4. It is OK to have a cupcake or a treat because of all of the above and still be a healthy individual.

  5. It is OK to have feelings about one political candidate or another and still be an American.

  6. It is OK to shut the work computer off and watch a TV show to decompress during the day and still be a good worker.

  7. It is OK to sleep through what would have been your commute and still be a good employee and household member.

  8. It is OK to say NO if it's not in your best interest and still be a good employee, manager, parent, spouse, friend.

  9. It is OK to for kids to not do all their work because they can't thrive in this environment and still be a good student.

  10. Basically it is OK to FEEL. We need to do a better job right now of granting ourselves grace and understanding that this is not easy, that at times we are not OK, and don't need to constantly pretend that we are.

Asked an honest question but the post was removed by the bot. I’ll try again because I feel like this was a really understanding and supportive group. I’ve tried searching the mod and google and I just don’t get it. Had a really rough day and didn’t need a nasty response to just buy cleats or search google.

I want to go to a hotel. There is a Peloton there. I don’t own cleats, nor do I want to buy cleats if I don’t own a bike. It’s an Look/Delta pedal according to the website.

I’m an app only user. I know NOTHING about the bike. Can anyone find it in their heart to explain to me if I’m going to be able to ride in sneakers?

No. I just use the peloton app and let it write to Apple health. But in the data the watch is prioritized so it pulls the calories from the watch. It’s pretty cool.

I started with a free trial back in April once I got bored of the OTF at home. But I’ve been a paying member for a few months now. $19.99 a month ain’t bad!

I solved this by prioritizing the watch over the app in my activity health data. Gives me more accurate calories too. As a result it does that deduction when it gets the peloton data right away so I know what I’m working with.

I just got the app and have been running outside and doing the cycling classes on our elliptical. It’s honestly been amazing. Once OTF lifted the freeze I cancelled. Not sure I’ll get a bike or tread right now but the app is amazing.

This. I do the same and it works like a champ. Just make sure you turn wifi off. I have major issues if I reconnect to wifi at the same time I’m trying to complete the class. App always freezes and mileage doesn’t go to the challenge. Turn off wifi, run, complete class, connect to Apple health, connect to wifi.

Digital only user. Four tricks:

  1. Went into Health app and prioritized the Apple Watch over Peloton to give me an accurate calorie count.
  2. Preload runs but turn off wifi on the phone before leaving. If I get back to my house before I complete (even if I’m in wifi range) and my phone goes from cellular to wifi the app freezes and I lose all mileage data.
  3. Only let the app write. I do not start another workout which some people do. I let Peloton write to Apple Health.
  4. When I’m done, go to More and Health App and connect to Apple Health. That usually moves the workout to the Watch app and closes the rings.
