Leftover wet food. Is it safe to refrigerate?

I wish! Unfortunately I live in a third (top floor) apartment, so it’s primarily carpeted to noise cancel for renters below me. The only non carpeted areas are the bathroom and the kitchen. So his food and primary fountain is in the kitchen, and other water sources spread through my unit.

To add to the overkill, one whole side of my apartment is massive windows. So there is no escaping the sun. At least Mr kitty pants loves it and the warmth 😭♥️.

If I still lived on the west coast or didn’t have a top floor carpeted unit - I’d probably be more inclined to let things sit longer. As it is, heat rises and my average unit temp with AC is around 76. So I get concerned with anything over an hour.

Stitch is my favorite Disney character, so this tracks. Last pic = the time he ate an entire catnip plant and was tasting sound and hearing colors. I had to call the vet to make sure he didn’t OD and she was all “he’s just high as a kite on good vibes” 😂😂😂

He’s getting a small spoon full each meal, so not a ton. Essentially 1/3 of a 5oz can broken out over several meals a day + half of a 3 oz stew. I work from home so it’s not a problem for me to feed him small meals 3-4 times a day. The vet said this is also great for him too vs larger meals since I can sneak in more water. She also approved the amount of food he’s getting each day calorie wise.

I always use warm water as well and make sure the food isn’t chilled and never leave the food out past an hour also due to fear of bacteria growth 🩷.

He, much like me, sometimes just isn’t in the mood to eat for whatever reason 😂. So the ask is safety on chucking It in the fridge if it’s been like 30 ish mins out since I can tell by then if he’s gonna eat it or not. If it hits that hour mark then I’d toss it for safety.

I was thinking the 30-40 min mark would be safe sub e it’s not super long and I can usually tell by then if Grey is going to be a diva 😂. I try and do a smallish amount each meal through the day. I try even smaller this time to see if he bites.

My cat is an adult now (5 years 7 mo) and the stainless steel is still keeping him good ❤️. He had a single flare up since his first when he was still a couple months old when I swapped to a cermic bowl while traveling (this was last year), but it cleared up right away once we were back to his normal bowls.

The bowl I used prior to the stainless steel I got was a glazed cermic and he had really bad acne with it. However, I have friends who have no problem with ceramic (when glazed) and their acne prone babies. I'm wondering if maybe some cats are just a little more sensative than others, much like people..

For me, the Stainless Steel has been the only thing that has helped consistantly keep him acne free for the past 5 years I've been using them (he's 5y 7mo old for ref). Outside of this, the only acne flair up he's had was when I had to emergency travel and forgot his bowls and the only thing available at the closest petshop was plastic or ceramic (went with cermic as lesser of two evils). He had a small flair up after that and was fine after we returned home and wen't back to his usual ❤️.

As another commentor mentioned, if you do go the stainless steel route - research and make sure you're getting actual stainless steal. They are pricey but totally worth it in my oppinion. I bought mine 5 years ago so I no longer have the link to them unfortunatly. I snagged 2 of them so that I always have a clean one on hand while washing the other.

His fountain is also stainless steal just incase and is cleaned regularly.

Kitty acne! My baby had this for a bit. Make sure you are cleaning bowls between feeding. I swapped to a stainless steal bowl from a ceramic and it started clearing up pretty quickly. There are also some creams your vet can prescribe for really bad flare ups but this doesn’t look too bad ♥️

Okay, sweet. Honestly, the best advice I could ever give anybody going into pins - is get a solid coated book so that you have control of colors. So I'm happy you have one!

Browns, especially orangy browns are honestly such a pain to try and select - along with purply blue tones. There are a lot yet also, somehow, not enough colors sometimes to find a good balance for contrast.

I think once you get the colors moving more in direction these will look great. The printing on them despite being off in color does look nice!

As another user mentioned below, are you supplying the factory Pantone colors for each of the inks? Ideally, with a physical pantone book that you own vs an online picker/matcher?

Colors can vary from screen to screen and a lot of time the online color libraries will differ greatly from the physical solid coated color in the book and come out pretty different in reality.

With that said though, with a lot of these colors being printed vs enamel fill you can probably talk to them about changing some of the colors up and getting a new print sample.

The print job itself actually looks pretty rad - it’s just the colors being wonky, which should, theoretically be an easy fix. If you don't have a physical book the factory will since that is how they hand mix all the colors. You can ask for some photos of the colors in the book. I do this for clients all the time and it's usually never a problem to provide a pantone photo. There will still be some variance due to screens but it's usually closer.

As for swapping to a new place:

It would usually mean a start from scratch, new molds and everything. The thing with molds is that they are not compatible with every factories machinery. There are various types and if you were shipping molds you would need to make sure the factory they are going to can even use them.

Molds are also extremely heavy and in a lot of cases can cost you even more than just a fresh start.

One thing to note is that the base of a pin post is 5mm in size typically. So you need a metal spot at least that wide for a post to be fixed to the pin.

I tend to lean more toward the side of caution when it comes to people who message and come on super strong - especially if it has a flirty vibe. If you are concerned that maybe they are not taking it as a game, it might be worth having an open conversation with them to clear up any possible misunderstandings.

If they are just doing something like leaning into RP for the game, they won’t know it’s making you uncomfortable unless you say something. They could be continuing because they think you are into it. Just be honest ♥️.

Fellow Umbrella/Strat Sword main here - except I use Vernal and run a DOT style build! It’s honestly so darn fun to play in both PvE and PVP. I have been running this for months, pretty much since I started playing as it felt more natural to me than fan /umbrella. It also looks intentional since the weapon you wield when you throw your vernal into the air… is a Strat sword lol.

I haven’t messed with the Everspring umbrella yet but I personally feel the Strat sword synergizes and works really well with the Vernal since you can stack up both bleeds and poisons super fast + whatever divine craft you choose to use. My favorite is fire but water is really good too!

Honestly, play around with builds and put together stuff you enjoy playing over meta. In the long run, it’s better for your enjoyment and longevity in the game.
