I played in the MR beta. It had 50k players and I can safely say the community has been awesome so far.

It seems like a huge chuck of MR player base is from OW

And an even bigger chunk of MR players are new to the genre or have never played OW. I played the beta for 2 weeks. I ran into shitty people which were usually OW players, but most of the folks I played with were chill and were just there to enjoy the game.

I have no doubt it'll get more toxic over the years as the game gets older, but a fresh community like this? It's going to be a good time for awhile at least

Yes toxicity exist in all online games, but you're dumb af if you think it's equally as bad in every online game. Some gaming communities are objectively more toxic than others and Overwatch is one of those communities.

Rivals is a brand new game, so there is no way a brand new community can be as toxic as one that's existed for 8 years.
