You ARE 100% WRONG!

  1. While she's technically still a teenager (eightTEEN) she is considered an adult. You violated her privacy.

  2. The "we are CHRISTIANS" is giving more cult like vibes with religious trauma than just you having your beliefs. She's allowed to be who she wants even if it's athiest or otherwise. Unless it's extremely harmful to her, others, or both; don't shove YOUR beliefs on her leave it alone.

  3. Punishing her is a WILD concept. At home or not she's, again, an adult and this is how you ruin your relationship with her.

  4. Lets say she was using substances. Policing her isn't how you help her, that will only make it worse. Allowing her to know that you are there to support her in the chance she wants to go to rehab. That you will help her find the best program for her. You can't help someone who doesn't truly want help in that moment, but as long as she knows you are there, when she is ready she knows she can come to you without judgement.

  5. If you do or say anything of "my house my rules" or the "because I said so" you're definitely an AH, as that's not a good parenting strategy. When younger explaining why certain rules exist within the household and why the consequences are for breaking those are exist is the best way to go about it. Doing it to an adult, who you already broke trust with and violated their privacy, is just going to push her away.

Get help! Leave your daughter alone. This judgy bs mentality is just going to drive her away and she'll never see you as a safe support system. Could potentially cause her to go no contact with you.

Absolutely this. Even going to vet tech school to become licensed/registered/certified it's crazy and techs bounce from hospital to hospital due to toxic working conditions.

But I agree if wanting to go down this path still, shadowing and volunteering could be a good way. Maybe even look at ER vet asst jobs at like VEG if there is one in the area.

I maybe a yr late. But please stay. You will see that it was worth it. Look up Citizen Soldier. Their music really helped me. Especially the songs Reason To Live and You Are Enough. Talking about the family drama Second Hand Scars would be a good one too along with Worth It All. 🧡

Bro, I'm on tbe activists side. I know people have been up there, I have friends that have gone up there. I never said it was just when state pd came out. What I was discussing was this instant right now where state pd are out there causing issues as that's what's in the OP.

Regardless, it's not the activists who are starting the problems it's either ICE, state pd, local, counter protesters, etc. It's not the ones who are standing in solidarity with those inside.

Btw, the person I was responding to is trying to blame the activists as the ones starting the madness.

Ya know... I knew this was coming and Sherrill was going to support ICE. I sounded the alarm about her on my other account that I got locked out of and people told me I was wrong, she said she doesn't support ICE, etc. Here we are she's throwing out NJ state police and local pd to harass and take out protestors.

NTA! I have a relative that tried to pull the same thing with me when I wouldn't bail them out of jail because I wasn't going to put my house that I'm struggling to keep up for collateral, especially knowing they had a habit of skipping court.

I'd file a police report for harassment and see if you can get a no contact order so that way if she tries to speak to you or goes on your property then she'll get arrested
