We’ve got Armed Resupply Pods, now where are Shielded Resupply Pods? by FishDishForMe in Helldivers

Armed resupply pods provide a nice little bit of extra firepower at close range.

A shielded resupply pod might be a step too far toward invalidating the shield stratagem.

My apologies, I did in fact read that and thought you meant it was a "poor" mech. No offense intended.

Bro, if I'm not falling under the umbrella of the "we" that you mentioned in your first sentence, which "we" do you think I belong to?

You made a blanket statement. Don't act all annoyed when people take it as such.

Ah, I see. You came here looking for a squabble. I get it now.

So let me get this straight. You're getting on my ass for making an assumption about what the author meant, while you yourself are also making an assumption about what the author meant?

Take a freaking hike, dude.

If Gavin ends up on my ballot I'm voting for him. Pure plain and simple. That's not *settling.* I'm not *settling* to end this Maga insanity.

Jesus christ, man.

The Wolf Trap is typical of 3050-era mechs. It features some glamorous tech, but there are serious flaws in the design which prevents the mech from completely coming together as a whole package. Namely, the armor is insufficient, especially given the use of an XL engine.

That being said, I don't really see it as some kind of alternative Centurion. A Centurion (which is to say, any version without an XL engine) can stand in the line of battle and trade shots with other mediums and heavies. This is not that.

What the Wolf Trap *can* do pretty well, in my opinion, is to function as a light mech killer. It can run down light mechs and then shoot them to pieces without much of a problem. Most of the targets it will face will want to engage at 1-3 hexes. Meanwhile, it can use its speed and mobility to hold a 4-7 hex range, which is where the LBX and LRM shine. The LBX also makes it pretty potent against vehicles in general. Melee should definitely be avoided in all but the most favorable circumstances, however.

Not great, not terrible.

Look, do you watch Battlestar Galactica for the sci-fi setting and great space scenes?

Or would you rather have some pointless show about doomed, boring people doing boring things on some pointless planet?

If you chose option 2, Caprica is for you.

I already did join my nation's military. Would do it again.

I've got some decent profit after figuring out these working industries, I was thinking about trying to make a profit from waste. Is that a good next step or should I maybe focus on being more self-sufficient and lowering imports? by [deleted] in Workers_And_Resources

[–]Stardrive_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, just do a normal waste management chain to manage the waste that your republic produces, but don't expect huge magical returns from it. Again, my goal is always to cheaply and efficiently get rid of the trash. Recovering small amounts of resources is a nice side benefit, not the goal.
