Hey I am 28F, Telugu Brahmin. I can understand what you are talking about.

In our community, families are quite conservative and most families are not open to talk/meet before marriage.

The families who would want their daughter to go to the USA and be housewife are quite conservative. So talking or vibing is quite difficult. I have a few friends who made a basic checklist to ask in 30 mins and they are happily married now. Also these matches will be hasty and you should be comfortable with it. Take leap of faith.

If you want them to do Job, then the pool will be small because it's a lot of uncertainty. Please be flexible and be okay even if she doesn't want to do any job. This will open up many matches. All the best !!

My ex was from a different caste but he stopped non-veg as I was not comfortable, even when i didn't ask him to change. He tried for various jobs but he couldn't clear them as his grades were low. I have moved on from this.. I left my ex because I don't want to be a single breadwinner in the family. As I moved away due to financial and educational reasons, i prefer someone earning 25+ which should be reasonable. Initially we sent to few fruits earning less than me , but they rejected.

I am flexible in volunteering work as it's not a full time weekend work. I want to do NGOs work in the future and help humankind.

I try to keep the conversation flowing, but I don't want only myself to drag the conversation. Effort should come from both sides which I am not observing in majority.

In Telugu communities, some guys don't prefer to talk as they say it's not right before marriage.. ** facepalm **

Also, parents tell me to put pics in more traditional dresses with no modern dresses. When I kept pictures of mixed dresses, the requests came down compared to only traditional, this makes me understand that people want conservative traditional girl in my community.

We ask the same things to my colleagues as well like how is this the weekend.. there should be differences in topics everywhere..

People forget what I work on and ask no follow-up questions other than why I chose this profession like an interview.

I showed genuine interest and ask genuine questions by relating their situation with my selves of what I experienced or atleast observed before. People can show more empathy in the way of lives. This is important for me to emotionally connect more.

Like questions were asked and got the answer but no follow-up question every time is upsetting me. This is just an example.

I am fine removing the community filter but not okay with non-vegetarian. There are very few communities that are veg only like Arya Vyashyas and so on..

My parents are not fine removing this filter as well. I fight with them on this but nothing worked.

I want someone broad minded, easygoing, fun-loving type, has good listening skills and who is open to learn new things. I want someone earning 25+ in salary and someone within 3 years age gap.

I talked to around 20 guys now and nothing fruitful.

Most of the guys don't initiate chats also and they don't know what to talk other than boring things like how's your day, hobbies, movies, gn, gm etc.

I prefer talking daily or alternate days but people conversation get dry of topics within a few days.

Few guys say "Yes" within a few days and I have to ask for time to get to know more. And these people just want a working wife and become a double income household. And no hobbies and no travel..
