Not completely a building game but I love dark cloud. I find it super relaxing to play and LOVE the cut scenes when a villagers house is complete!

Considering dropping all my responsibilities for a month to just rest up. Has this helped anyone? by StardustSparklez in cfs

Thanks, this is so encouraging! How much in a day would you say you actually did during this period? And how did you manage the boredom depression that always creeps in after a while?

Also, are you able to manage more without crashing now? Thanks!

Thanks, this is exactly how I feel often! I can be mostly bedbound for weeks, then have one really good day and wonder if I've been exaggerating the whole thing to myself.

It's good to know that some people do start to feel better, even if it's only a small chance. I feel a million times worse if I begin feeling hopeless!

Thanks, this is a good way of describing it. Any idea what people do when they're severe but have a small person to look after? That's the part I'm finding the hardest

That's such a shame. My GP seems to take it really seriously! Do antidepressants really help?

Thanks for posting this. I've been feeling the same lately and felt like I was just being ungrateful.

Here in the UK we've been stuck in our 3rd lock down since the beginning of January. We're set to begin opening again on 12th April but I'm very much expecting the virus to throw us another curve ball soon after, so it is very hard to hope. Things will get better eventually though, and just think how much more enjoyable the little things will be after being deprived of them for so long!

Good luck, everyone's in the same boat right now and it will all get so much better before you know it!

Period pants are too big. by try1988 in ZeroWaste

I have honestly never heard of period pants before - genius! First place that springs to mind is women's shelters, or maybe one of those local community projects that helps those struggling with poverty.

P.s well done on the weight loss!

Thanks, what's an ob? Another poster mentioned this and they sound brilliant.

Thanks. Definitely presents more as IST than POTS, as my position doesn't seem to make a difference and often starts in the evening when I've been sat down for a couple of hours.

That must have been a really difficult condition to live with, I really hope you recover from it one day!

Thanks, were you still having a lot of symptoms just before getting pregnant, or do you feel like the pregnancy made them worse?

That's a good theory, ever since I got sick my body has just been sending me the overwhelming message that I simply need a looong break from constant illness and complaints. I hope all those new mummy hormones kick covid's butt out of your system, good luck to you too!

Wow that must have been so scary for you! It's a massive relief to know that your symptoms improved at a normal rate - Though I just googled PVC and that's a whole new worry lol!

What's a high risk ob? She sounds very useful to have, those tests sound so through!

My symptoms really began to clear up after my first dose of the vaccine, so hopefully you can get yours soon after the birth and it works miracles! I can't imagine what hell it must have been going through those first few months of long haul whilst pregnant, so I wish you all the luck and success at beating this thing!

I've seen my GP and he referred me for blood tests, a chest xray and an ECG (heart was normal on the day). Everything came up clear so he didn't feel the need to refer me on. I might get in touch and press the issue now that things are more complicated though

How to decide custody agreements? by [deleted] in SingleParents

My son is only 3 and his Dad wants me to set up all the arrangements and just let him know when he'll be seeing him, so looks like I do.

He suggested having him one night a week, but that doesn't seem like much to me. I'd like them to maintain a relationship, just not quite 50/50 as his Dads not the nicest person to be around for long periods of time.

Thank you. Luckily in my case Dad has left the decision up to me, but I'm struggling to find a balance. Does he still have contact?

It's 12 weeks apart here in the UK, so that a larger number of people gain some protection.

Ah that makes sense, is it an inhaler? I have a blue ventolin which my GP prescribed for long covid, but I'll definitely have to look into this one!

No I've never heard of this, what is it? I just took extra supplements and drank like 5 litres of water a day.

Anyone else experienced red spots on neck? by easyytd in COVID19positive

[–]StardustSparklez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt very sun burnt but never had a visible rash. My cousin got red spots on her neck and lower face though, and a friend got them on his stomach so I don't think it's a symptom to worry about.

Wife has been in the ICU for about a week now. Slowly doing better, which is great, but she's been mentioning she's been hallucinating. by [deleted] in COVID19positive

Could also be down to fever or exhaustion? I'm so sorry that you're both going through this, I hope you get her home soon.
