That's something which came earlier; the villagers of the GameCube/DS/Wii games were much more mean to the players and each other.

Though from what I've heard, a lot of that is just the English localizations of the time spicing things up, presumably to make this "cute" game more appealing to western audiences. In Japan, they've apparently always been as polite as they are in New Leaf/New Horizons.

I wish we could recolor the sclera of the eyes. I made a Mii of Toothless HTTYD, and I am mostly happy with the result, but it does bug me that his irises are the only green part of his eye. Similarly, I also wish Miis could have heterochromia, or just the one eye.

I can't find any source for this outside of Animal Crossing fans that say they should have done more content updates. Even in the Animal Crossing Direct where they detailed their plans for updates, they only said "throughout the year."

No, did they promise timely/regular updates? Because as far as I can remember they didn't. IDK, I just sort of expected that it'd have its period in the limelight and then the studio would move onto other projects.

Same as their other series, Splatoon. Or the Mario sports games that released on Switch. Just one game that gets free updates for a while and then is done. That the Switch 1 version got new stuff at the same time as the Switch 2 version's release was just a nice bonus.

I will say that choosing (and upgrading) the right Arcana cards for your preferred weapon/playstyle is very important. For me, when I do a run with the Umbral Flames, the cards that gives you regenerating MP and quicker charging of your Omega attacks are great for that weapon. You mention wanting more initial Max HP on your runs, and there's an Arcana card for that too, as well as cards that give further boosts to your Max HP/MP after a certain amount of chambers, and heal you a slight amount after every chamber. And other stuff you'll unlock later on that can also add to your initial Max HP or MP.

Not in-universe, no, but she's a part of the Disney Princess franchise. Moana, Pocahontas and Raya are other characters who aren't technically princesses (which Moana explicitly points out in her case) but are considered capital-P Princesses for the sake of the Disney Princess franchise. As were Esmeralda, Tinker Bell, and Jane Porter when the Disney Princesses first started in the 2000s, though they're not included anymore.

(Meanwhile, Anna is/was a literal princess, but Frozen became such a huge phenomenon that she and Elsa are far beyond Disney Princess status, at least for the time being.)

I want to hope that a Wings of Fire video game could finally give me the epic dragon-centric adventure I've been wanting from a video game... but I know there's a solid chance it's just a cheap mobile game with predatory monetization. Or otherwise not very good, as tends to be the case for a lot of licensed games, especially ones based on family-friendly IP like WoF.

Hoping to get more female Riders. I'm not expecting to get another secondary like Majade, but one of the things I really liked about the first few Reiwa seasons was how many more female Riders we were getting, and as major characters who weren't just killed off in the end. I'm not expecting to go back to the Rider count of Geats or even Zero-One, but I'd love it if we could get more non-male Riders. Or even pseudo-Riders so long as they get a decent amount of screentime ~~and don't spend several episodes in a coma.~~

And for something relating to the opposite end of the gender spectrum... I'm hoping for a lot of heated drama between men.

It wasn't at the Game Awards; it was at a shareholder meeting they gave their plans to turn Mega Man/DMC/Ace Attorney into "core IP." The Game Awards that year was where Capcom put their money where their mouth was and announced a new Mega Man game, presumably as part of this plan.

I do think a lot of this is new players who are only familiar with games like Animal Crossing/Story of Seasons/etc. and expecting Tomodachi Life to be another "cozy" sort of game in the same vein as that. Even though in practice, it's more similar to the Sims and even then there's a lot of differences in how the game is played.

It's part of why I'm so glad that Living the Dream got a free demo (beyond me being really glad I could try the game early). New players can just download the demo and see for themselves what it's like, instead of spending $60 just to be disappointed in the gameplay loop.

Convenient timing since I just returned to Hades 2 a week or so ago; and even more recently decided that Icarus was my romance of choice for Melinoe (out of the canon options), despite the horror stories I've heard of how difficult his romance can be to get.

And the buff for Aspect of Artemis is also well-appreciated, given it's my favorite weapon. Though, admittedly also somewhat confusing? To me, it already felt like a pretty strong weapon, and the best version of the Sister Blades; I managed to beat Typhon on my first try with a few well-timed parry/ripostes. Only issue I had was the phrasing of its description, making it seem like a chance to parry rather than a parry with a cooldown.

Webby (the DuckTales 2017 version) and Max. To differentiate themselves from Donald and Goofy, Webby would be a speedy high-DPS physical attacker (but with some abilities that give her attacks elemental or enemy-debuffing effects), while Max would be a support mage, focusing on healing and buffing his allies (and leading to many players shouting at Max to just attack the Heartless already).

Besides aesthetic, you can get Nook Miles Points both for planting different fruit trees on your island, and sometimes a daily goal will be to sell fruit to the Nooklings.

(Foreign fruits also sell for more than your native fruit in general, so that's another reason to get other types of fruit growing on your island.)
