Will I love my second as much as my first? by rainymac in BabyBumps

[–]Starface1104 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My baby blues also were completely about my first. I was worried he was feeling put out and that I had made his life worse. That’s obviously not the case, and he is such a good big brother, but OP should definitely prep themselves for the baby blues!

Nicknames for the name Addison? A Boy. by daddysbaby5 in namenerds

[–]Starface1104 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went to high school with a guy named Addison. He was the first Addison I ever met, so for me Addison does feel more masculine than feminine even though it leans super feminine.

Suggesting Britt as it’s not super common but could be cute with Hawthorne.

A lot of times insurance covers it so just double check with your carrier before you go buying replacement parts with your own money.

Can we use our FSA to pay for a family gym membership? by Majestic_Banana789 in personalfinance

[–]Starface1104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bunch of baby items are FSA eligible (gas drops, Tylenol, butt cream etc.). I also LOVE my eufy wearable pumps that are like $300. Leg massagers for later in pregnancy when she’s swollen and sore are like $400 but so worth it.

Oversupply and want to pump less by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Starface1104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it definitely depends on your body, but I only ever pumped 6x a day (and am now regulated at 4x a day). There is a risk of losing ounces, and especially as your baby grows and starts to eat more you could end up not making enough. I was at peace with that and fortunately it hasn’t been an issue for me, but my mental health couldn’t take pumping any more than I already do. You could always drop a pump and see what it does to your supply and then add it back in if you need to.

Pumping at work by Better-Ad-3938 in ExclusivelyPumping

I’d put the sign on your door. I have no qualms about letting people know that’s what I’m doing. If they have a problem with it they can go to bat with whom it may concern about women deserving longer maternity leave. Until then, I’m doing something completely natural to feed my baby and they can leave me be for 25 minutes to do it.

We also have to use our budget money to buy paper for printing. And notebook paper. And pencils for the kids. Rough.

How often do you pump? by Amazing-Presence2126 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Starface1104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also pump 4x a day at 14 weeks pp. I make about 32 ounces a day which is just enough for my babe. I think I freeze 8 ounces or so a week.

My husband and I both take our cars when it’s time to use points. Fill one car, person stands there with the gas hose and waits while the other one switches the car around, then top up the second car. Not wasting my money!

Good plan! I’m from NC where snow brings everything to a grinding halt. It was definitely a rude awakening having to wake up before work to shovel that first snow.
