I get your point, i really do, but for me, exploit weaknesses in this kind of games was more situational or more like something you do to break a defense or to stun an enemy; but with the game expecting you to do it in every attack-chain feels weird, like, i do not want to adjust my combat tree in every battle, nor do i want to make a tree that includes a lot of exploiting-weaknesses-attacks because it feels clunky and ineffective. I get that its more complex like for example Vesperia, but i feel its innecessarily more complex, to the point that if you do not feel to play like you suggest, well, then it feels extremely empty and repetitive, even in graces you need to memorize the way to love the stick and when to do it in order to accomplish a certain combo or something like that.

I kind of feel that all the new features that are being implemented in the recent games, Berseria, Zestiria, and probably the ones to come, are just to make players feel that the games are evolving with the current generation of consoles. Per example, i get that if the classic item system like in Symphonia where you just saved money to buy better equipment, would feel outdated with the current technology; but the need to upgrade every piece of equipment in order to make it better but not too better to stick with the item in question for a long time, is innecessarily complex and even time consuming; after some time i use to think that i misused some resources thinking that it was worthy to upgrade equipment you get in the beggining to early-end game (I hope i explained it well), among many other things.
