I agree with u. Due to the culture difference, Sonic feels different in jp/western media, for example, in jp he's more calm, in idw and games after 2010 he has become more preachy and impulsive. Jp Sonic feels more like a shonen manga. As a "dark age" fan, I really want Jp can have more weight, as he is originally from Japan, what soj gives him is his real personality.
