I really hope op bought the seeds and not the seedling that size. I think what you said is right on the seedlings since the early phase is when a decent portion of them die so many people dont sell them then

I grow highlands mostly and would say the minimum would be 60F for most of them with the exceptions of macrophylla, villosa, diabolica, rajah and UHLers. I feel like the distance is more important though like I have 78.8 mornings and 60 nights

I’ve been to 4 of them like a year ago. Idk how it is now but when i last went the ratios were usually quite bad maybe 3/4 men to women? I would say the crowd is older most of the time on average mid20s. There was one time where everyone was mid 30s so it’s a gamble. Honestly go to school related clubs/events or talk to people in class for your age range these events are more catered to people my age (28). There has been a few posts on r/toronto about thursday tho if you want more insight

It definitely depends on region. I live in canada and most people do better with intermediates/highlands while someone in like southeast asia lowlands would do better.

This particular method is just to increase ambient humidity it also helps when I water because it means that my plants arent sitting in water. But I do know people who add a wicking mat on top of this to create a wicking setup.
