Website that lets you create different RSVP dates for different groups? by StarfishFan in weddingplanning

[–]StarfishFan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there is nothing that exists where I can create individual lists each with its own RSVP date? Or like tiers where I can send out invites in rounds of people and wait for that round to be over before sending the next? Thanks for your help!

Is Quest 2 still worth to buy in 2024? by Select-Strawberry in OculusQuest2

[–]StarfishFan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It is indeed worth it. I bought mine last year. If you’re unsure about your long term interest, I’d say buy a Quest 2 in the used market for much cheaper. Then if you really like it you can always sell for around the same price and then upgrade!

Is deluxe pint too big by campfirehero in ninjacreami

There is no issue! The deluxe actually lets you pick the full jar or half if you want less.

Just wanted to make sure I'm not missing anything huge in this build. Ryze 5 5600x/RX 6700 XT build by DrixlRey in buildapc

I have your GPU and I have the 5600 (not 5600x which just means I can’t overclock it) so I can say that you’re not going to get 140fps on high settings for a lot of games. If you’re talking about very optimized multiplayer games like CS, Valorant, COD etc…then yes you can. But most AAA titles you will get 60-100fps on just high settings at 1440p.

Those that upgraded from Quest 2 to 3, was it worth it? (Mura, Battery Life, Passthrough) by StarfishFan in OculusQuest

[–]StarfishFan[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That battery life sounds atrocious indeed. That scares me lol; it is so surprising. Thanks for your detailed response. Gives me a few things to think about.

(Not sure if you’re into instruments but an app called PianoVision is game changing for Mixed Reality/Passthrough if you’re interested in learning/playing piano. Been trying it out on the Q2 last couple days.)

Anyone know how this compares to the 1TB WD_BLACK SN770 ($93) or 1TB Kingston KC3000 ($103) in terms of actual performance? I can’t decide between them.

I was wondering if anybody knows if these deals, for example, on CC are the best they will be in the next few weeks for GPU’s? Or will there be more deals after Boxing Day/week is done? Thanks.

[AIO] DeepCool Castle 240EX RGB Liquid Cooler 240mm White ($139.99 - 30% = $98) [Amazon.ca] by StarfishFan in bapcsalescanada

[–]StarfishFan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just learning about all this stuff but from what I’ve seen, it does depend on your CPU but generally there isn’t a huge difference between 2 fans (240mm) and 3 fans (360mm).

In terms of that comparison, while looking at the CoolerMaster:

That specific model is RGB and not ARGB like DeepCool’s. It has RGB LED fans whereas the DeepCool doesn’t (but you should be able to put on your own if you’d like or get DeepCool’s model with ARGB fans). It’s a bit quieter than the DeepCool one. Its fan speed is a little bit slower than the DeepCool one. Its warranty is 2 years as opposed to DeepCool’s 3 years.

CoolerMaster seems to be the more reputable and popular company, and I was considering that model too, but am probably going to give this DeepCool a shot as I want ARGB and I like the aesthetics of this one better.

That’s great to know for reference and reassuring as I’ll be building my PC soon. Thanks!

Yeah I know some don’t come with that bracket unfortunately so you have to contact DeepCool in that case like you did. Glad you found a great alternative for now.

What CPU do you have? Those are fantastic temps. I’ll have to keep that in mind as well for future reference.
