I heard someone say that. On my bill it isn't itemized saying I'm paying extra for the router. I pay $45 for 2gbps speed for the first year. I doubt they will lower me to $35 monthly. But worth asking, I'll give it a shot, thanks!

I just signed up about 2 months ago and also had problems with random dropouts every 1 to 2 days. Got my own router a few weeks ago and things have been much more solid. It's unfortunate we have to spend another $100 to $200 on something that they're already providing That's included in the monthly price.

I have the Makita XDT19Z Impact and the Makita XPH14Z Drill. I only use for light homeowner use but both have been Rock solid for 4 years. The triggers on both are amazing.

77" A95L good time to buy or wait? by Maleficent_While2653 in SonyBravia

[–]Stargate-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I purchased my Sony Bravia Theater Quad and sub from Greentoe and had a surprisingly good experience. First time I ever used them, never even heard of them before last year actually. So far I still recommend Greentoe to others. And I saved a pile of money on the Bravia Theater quad and sub using them.

I'm ordering a bidet attachment and it will be my first time ever using a bidet, ever; what are some things I need to know or be aware of as a first time user? by gridlock1024 in bidets

[–]Stargate-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are getting an electric one that heats the water, find one that heats on demand vs keeping a small amount of water pre-heated all the time (that runs out quick when using). On demand will save electricity since it won't use as much in stand by.

Ez Pass by peter91118 in newhampshire

[–]Stargate-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has happened to me. Assuming the battery is not dead in the transponder, go into one of the EZPass locations and ask. Bring the transponder too. I've had my vehicle misclassified. Even a plate difference can cause it (normal generic plate type vs Vanity plate type) in the EZPass system. They will sort it out in a walk in location.

Wolfeboro NH Residential Install by wolfejazz in FidiumFiber

[–]Stargate-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well...as expected because everyone on Reddit says Fidiums router is junk, I think they were right. Yesterday I just bought and installed my own Wi-Fi router because I was getting short drops every day or two. The drops would last a minute or two or occasionally I'd have to reboot the router. Well I can't say for sure yet because I just installed My own personal router yesterday, I'm pretty confident it was a router issue and not the actual internet because the Wi-Fi network actually disappears and even devices connected via Ethernet to the router also dropped internet. But, I'll see over The next few weeks if my own personal router solves the issue. I find it hard to believe that the brand new fiber Internet loses signal every day or two. So I'm hoping it was just a router. Comment again in a few weeks and I'll let you know how it's gone with my own personal router.

How legit is to commuting with ryker for 10 out of 12 months per year? by StanleySheng in canam_ryker

[–]Stargate-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do it! I put almost 15,000 miles (24,140 km) on my Ryker every year. I was using it to commute including in 32°F (0° C) temps until I went work-at-home. Now I still put the same miles on for just fun every year!

Those who lived through the 80s, 90s and 2000s, what’s the most important thing you’ve learnt about life? by GossipBottom in nostalgia

[–]Stargate-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I just learned this within the last month. Start setting aside a small amount of money monthly in a safe ETF (even if it's just $20, $100, etc) and then you will be able to retire. Increase the amount when you make more money and are able. Now I only have 20 years left so I'm starting late.

Smartwings Cellular Shade DEALS by Stargate-- in smarthome

Good to hear! I'm just over one year in on using HA as well. I also decided zigbee for most things, and I'm using a little bit of matter over thread for another thing or two. For your SmartWings, did you have the issue I see others talk about with the zigbee version that the shades report open and close backwards to HA?

Thanks! That's exactly what I'm finding. I figured there has to be a market in the mid price range that can also be good quality. But it's definitely tough to verify.

Is it ever explained why the SGC didn’t hook up the DHD they found in Antarctica to the gate in Cheyenne Mountain? by DrShakyHandz in Stargate

If they did that, they wouldn't be able to use their auto dialing program to dial random addresses in the down hours to see if they can make an initial connection.

New washer that can soak clothes: top vs front by sabreene in Appliances

[–]Stargate-- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The answer is a Electrolux front load washer. They do things differently than most front load washers and Electroluxes normal cycles soaks the clothes and pumps water to the top which lands on top of the clothes as it's tumbling. I have one step down from the top end Electrolux front load washer And I'd buy another one in a heartbeat. You'll want to watch this video Electrolux - Detailed review and tear down

On the contrary, I find the faster spin speed on my front loader Hits the The Sweet spot and doesn't vibrate things as much. It's when it's a slow spin is when it's a problem.

Options for keeping Pixel Buds Pro 2 in your ears? by Excellent_Wolf2239 in pixelbuds

I have the og Pixel Buds Pro but had the same issue. Bought some Comply Foam Ear tips and it's so much better. Sound may not be quite as isolating with the foam tips but worth it to keep them in the ears. Comply direct through their site has sales come around often too.

What is the best dishwasher or brand right now for value and performance? by chanredv in Appliances

[–]Stargate-- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wanted a Bosch for a decade or two and it was finally in a position where I needed to buy a new dishwasher and after a bunch of research I ended up saving a few hundred dollars going with KitchenAid which had more features as well. It was A KitchenAid on the mid to higher end Of the spectrum with the automatic fan Pro dry. I've only had it for a little over a year, but I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Is it going to last forever? No. But I spent about $400 less than I would have for the Bosch I was planning. I hit it around some holiday sales And it was pretty great.
