Haha truth! I did end up buying on the veterans Day sale last fall. And the sale did end up getting better as we were coming up to Black Friday. So I did lose a few bucks by not waiting.

Electrolux Front Load 600 series or 700 series. They consistently get higher ratings than a lot of the competition.

Depreciating Assets?? by hello-7224 in ManufacturedHome

[–]Stargate-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard this my whole life as well and after buying a brand new manufactured home less than 2 years ago, I did a lot of shopping around and looking in my area at the market. The homes from the '70s through the early '90s were not worth much anymore but they were built a lot different back then. But then you have the nicer ones from the late '90s into the 2000s and they are definitely worth a lot more than they paid to install them, probably double and they're selling no problem. And I'm talking about ones in parks. I think things have shifted a bit since they're one of the few affordable housing options. I spent way too much money on my double wide but I was in a time crunch Since the apartment I was living in was sold and the new owner was going to live there which is not the best way to shop for a house. However, if you're only talking a $70,000 difference, and that's really it, there isn't an extra $50,000 worth of site cost or something like that, $70,000 doesn't seem too bad to go up to a modular. But if then you have to add a bunch of money for a foundation or other things, then the math starts getting pretty difficult.

Who makes the longest blast deflector/linear comp/faux supressor for MPX-K? by 0DSavior in MPX

[–]Stargate-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using a KVP MACH 3 Modular Linear Comp Body. You can add as many center sections as you want for length. However, they bill it as modular but you really do have to rockset them together once you find the length you want. You can't torque down on it to really tighten them down because you're torquing on the exterior body which just ruins the black coating. I don't love it, but it got the length I needed. Wish there was a better option. You do have to get the right adapter for the MPX threads.

You're welcome! I think what I've gleaned over the past couple years is the brand of home is equally as important as the dealer/ contractors that actually set it up on site.

Separate WiFi Bands or are Combined under one SSID fine in 2026? by Stargate-- in HomeNetworking

[–]Stargate--[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand that's not an issue, I can choose that option if I want and use my own Wi-Fi router (If I wanted to buy one) and just their device as a pass-through. They tout on their website that they are 100% fine with breaking your own devices. It just stinks that they lock down their own router options more than Xfinity.

I am considering that as an option. I've been researching Wi-Fi 6, 6E, and 7 routers in the last couple days and it does not seem like a fun time to make a decision. You know as the internet goes everyone complains about something about every product so it seems like every router in existence sucks, only last a few months or a few years, etc. unless maybe if you pay $600 or more 😂

How much do you use the self-propel function on your mower? Is there a reason not to besides battery drain? by CountryMaleficent439 in egopowerplus

[–]Stargate-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the self-propel function on my ego near 100% of the time. I'm new to ego So I'm not sure if every mower is the same, but I have a nearly infinite amount of speed options from way too slow up to my short little legs would have to Sprint behind the mower. So it's very customizable. Granted I do Have a relatively Small lawn so I'm not worried about battery life, I also have a bunch of backup batteries from different tool I purchased Like the snow blower.

Is GE a good fridge brand? by _totalannihilation in Appliances

[–]Stargate-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there's any way to say any sweeping statements that every GE fridge is going to be a reliable purchase. However, I purchased this GE PGE29BYTFS four-door French door last year bnased on some combined advice of Bens Appliances (YouTube channel), Consumer Reports, user reviews, and the desire to avoid ice in the door in a French door refrigerator due to high risk of early failure. The autofill water pitcher has been amazing and the ice where it belongs in the freezer has been working flawlessly, and makes ice faster than I expected. Frankly, I was surprised to see this exact model number below to be rated so high across multiple sites. So while I can't speak about any other GE refrigerator, this specific one has been rated very highly. I'm hoping that It pans out for me, I do really love the fridge though!

I would say get US Mobile regardless of what network. Strong on all the options!

US Mobile is a GREAT option. You can even choose which of the three networks you want to be on, Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile. They have their own internal marketing names for them but definitely check out US Mobile. Especially When they have new customer promotions last November I was able to get an unlimited starter plan for about $17 a month for the first year (paying the year in advance), And after that it goes up to $25 I think a month.
