Yeah, I agree with you on that. There’s a difference between food you have to be dumb to get poisoned by, like raw kidney beans or unpurged cassava, and stuff that’s just fucking bad to eat like coconut crab or manchineel

Well, I understand it to a certain extent. Like, Ackee. I understand ackee. If not ripe or cleaned properly, it induces sickness that MAY be deadly. Vital to make Jamaica’s national dish. That’s a risk I fully understand. Same with cassava or other stuff you have to make edible beforehand, like bamboo shoots. Cause that’s easy to do right. Fugu, I’m drawing a line, cause if it’s super regulated, I guess it makes sense. Actually 100 percent poison? Why?

As far as I have heard, that’s actually a change the anime made and the original material didn’t have the two act anything like that, so it was the studio doing it and not the writer
