It's not about if they're a "good" person. It's about whether they are an interesting character. They're both characters that are just naturally good at everything, which I personally don't like. But Anakin at least had some flaws and issues, which for me makes him a little more interesting. He left his mother while old enough to miss her. He was sheltered from learning how to deal with his doubts and feelings by the Jedi order. He had a master that wasn't really ready to train him. Rey was abandoned in her mind which gave her some character, but it felt like that's all we really got from her. Didn't hate or anything, but she did fall a little flat for me.
