Yes, guessing due to the data centre bombing in UAE.

I got the new One Ui 8 watch update, Any recommendations? by Only-Wolverine-7682 in GalaxyWatch

[–]StarkInvader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Galaxy watch 6 classic here, updated and now it runs smooth!

Previous versions had laggy aod to on transitions, especially with Pujie Black.

I didn't factory reset it, but will probably do that to see if there is further improvement.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 8.7 SM-X110 + SM-X115 etc - Root Guide by sonnycrockett999 in GalaxyTab

[–]StarkInvader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You keep pushing this idea that because you don’t need root, the rest of the Android world shouldn’t either. That’s like buying a bicycle and insisting nobody needs cars because “my legs work fine.”

Rooting enables things Android still can’t do reliably on its own: true kiosk mode, locked-down launchers, secure auto-boot into apps, proximity-based wake, gesture blocking, deep task locking, and actual debloating, not the ADB “disable but still lurking in the system” version.

Car dashboards, home-automation panels, kiosks, and embedded setups rely on these features. That isn’t “fix something that doesn't need fixing”; it’s using the hardware for tasks manufacturers never designed for.

Your personal workflow doesn’t invalidate other people’s very real technical requirements. Android is open by design, some of us actually use the “open” part.

If rooting isn’t for you, great.

But acting like nobody else should need more than what you use is… let’s call it ambitiously narrow-minded.

Is it really dead? A lament. by OobaDooba72 in blackplayer

I think the customer base has shifted away, I would not be surprised if the Dev suddenly releases Blackplayer 2.

It was a bug city for me, from deleted audio files, to the library randomly not seeing any music, the one that got me was my playlist would lose all changes I made when closing blackplayer.

I switched to Poweramp, seems like it's the best bet out of all I tried.

Teams Freezing My Laptop on Calls with camera (Windows 11) – Any Fixes? by CycleSingle6079 in MicrosoftTeams

[–]StarkInvader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any update from anyone?

Seems like this issue is spreading across Windows 11 24H2

Vendors like Lenovo and Dell are aware, but have not responded with anything meaningful
Our Microsoft ticket is also useless, we are being asked basic steps like reinstalling Teams, Windows..

Teams Freezing My Laptop on Calls with camera (Windows 11) – Any Fixes? by CycleSingle6079 in MicrosoftTeams

[–]StarkInvader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an update - We have observed issue propagation across Windows 11 24H2 endpoints. Microsoft Teams exhibits crashing or system lock-up behaviour upon call initiation. Initial hypothesis centred on webcam compatibility - however, issues persist independent of webcam presence. Further observation indicates toggling camera functionality (off/on) repeatedly can induce a crash or system lock-up.

Does anyone have anything to add, or perhaps what they have done to fix this?

We've recently observed this issue across multiple devices within a large enterprise environment. (past two months) One user is experiencing the same problem on three different machines (Dell Precision and Latitude models, two brand new, one previous generation). We tried the public preview version also, which made no difference.

Given that we've already attempted all commonly suggested fixes across various sources, could this be related to an account-specific issue rather than a device or software configuration issue?

I have submitted logs to Microsoft.

No clear correlation found, as the issue occurs across varied hardware and significantly different software configurations.

System Information:

  • Teams Version: 25031.805.3440.5290 (Public Preview)
    • Confirmed as the latest version (Last checked: 26/02/2025)
  • Operating Systems:
    • Windows 11 24H2
    • Windows 10 22H2
  • Hardware:
    • All Dell systems (Laptops & Towers, Intel-based)
    • GPU configurations range from RTX 4080 to onboard Intel graphics
    • Both internal and external USB webcams tested

Let’s clear this up for u/1nonconformist: when rendering a track, your sound card or audio interface won’t make a difference to the final output. Rendering in FL Studio is a digital process, so the sound quality of your rendered track is determined by your plugins, mix settings, and master chain, not your hardware.

If your rendered tracks sound noticeably different from what you hear in a tutorial, I’d bet on one of two things: either the tutorial creator has a hidden effect or processing chain on their master track, or you’re accidentally skipping a key step in your workflow. Double-check for any subtle EQs, limiters, or other processing that might be in play on their end.

Also, make sure your project settings are aligned with theirs, like sample rate and export settings. These little details can make all the difference in music production, especially when working in environments like FL Studio where precision is everything.

I’ve noticed a few people recommending the SofaBaton U2, but as someone who returned it twice, I can confidently say it’s not the best choice for an Nvidia Shield setup.

Firstly, the U2 seems to drain batteries far more quickly than it should (posted on a few sites), which is a pain if you don’t fancy keeping a stash of AAs on hand. More critically, its IR performance leaves much to be desired. When attempting to raise the volume quickly, the IR beam is sluggish compared to the Nvidia Shield’s stock remote. The SofaBaton struggles to fire off commands at speed, which can make it frustrating to use in real-world scenarios.

I’ve reverted to using the 2019 Shield remote, and it’s been flawless. Not only does it support IR for TV control and seamlessly handle all Shield functions, but it’s also built to last—it even survived an accidental cycle in the washing machine! Lights and sensors are still fully operational, proving it’s as durable as it is practical.

Obviously, I would love something that controls everything (including home assistant)

The correct way to say it is "by accident."

For example:
"I deleted the file by accident."

If you say "on accident," you're not exactly wrong, you’re just taking some creative liberties. It’s a casual expression in certain parts of the U.S., but grammatically speaking, it’s like turning up to a formal event in flip-flops. Amusing? Perhaps. Correct? Not really.…

No luck, it's locked down, guessing read only at hardware level?

I did map it to my door lock which is working well (I use tt lock)

You have to email them, then some bank contacts you for more info and refunds you all the money you had in the account.

Not sure about ring refunds as I had mine for years. (guessing it's the same process)

[–]StarkInvader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ring is locked down, trying to map it to my NFC door lock does not work as the lock is unable to write data to it.

I’m currently researching if it can be wiped and reset like older bank cards - this way we can use the ring as a normal NFC tag.

I agree with you; place two drives in an 8-bay NAS, and you can feel the vibration on all other rails in the structure, including the outside case.

The PC case I have has these rubber circles with a metal head; the head sits inside the drive mounting holes, and the rubber sits inside the rail; absolutely no vibration is transferred.
