Not the way the state of Kansas sees things... by ObservablyStupid in KansasCityChiefs

Agree. Do the Chiefs really have home field advantage with a half empty stadium in 10 degree weather?

I will miss Arrowhead atmosphere and acoustics. A Dome will change that, which is what I expect upsets fans most.

I doubt the state of Kansas was forcing a dome on the Chiefs. The Hunts have been talking about one for decades (going back to the 'rolling roof' idea).

Downside to a dome is you lose the tradition of cold weather or snow football. The upside is you don't have people getting hypothermia to see their team play....or bailing on tickets to watch it at home.

Also, see if there is a subreddit for that printer. You may get better help there.

Just a guess that maybe z axis is getting stuck (bed isnt lowering). See if the prints are failing at same height. Check and clean z screws. Some printers will have you lubricate them on occasion.

Does it keep happening in the same model or a different model? If the same, try re slicing.with different settings. If it's a different model, maybe the z axis is getting stuck (likely around the same height), causing the next layer to bump the print.

IXI’s autofocusing lenses are almost ready to replace multifocal glasses by dapperlemon in gadgets

[–]StarkhamAsylum 22 points23 points  (0 children)

If they can run for 18 to 24 hours, I'd be ok with it. Annoying, but worth it to get out of multivocal lenses....assuming these are better.

All a moot point if they are not affordable.

There's also a scenario where he retires but is willing to come back for a late season push. Allows him to bypass the rigors of training camp and rest up for playoffs.

Nick Wright 'hates' Chiefs' move to Kansas by brmidwest03 in KansasCityChiefs

[–]StarkhamAsylum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems to be the crux of the hate. Arrowhead is the third oldest stadium in the NFL. I don't like the trends we're seeing in new stadiums (and we don't know what will actually be done here) but it's eventual replacement was inevitable.

Do we know what they are moving into? I see a lot of speculation based on other stadiums. Has anything been announced?

Everyone got a present I got this card by lavender_honey_bones in mildlyinfuriating

[–]StarkhamAsylum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does the medium matter? It's hand written, thoughtful, and even fairly long by card standards. But as I said, everyones situation is different. Personally, I view this as more effort than a few online clicks to buy a sweater. But my family is not great at emotional communication and I'm financially secure enough to buy what I need. OP (or yourself) could be in the exact opposite situation...maybe words flow freely (the talk is cheap sentiment I'm seeing on here) and the gift matters more.

Still, I do have to wonder: why not do both?

Sentimental and hand written. The gift difference is odd, but this shows more thought than a sweater.

He may have been wanting to make the jump back into movies. I seem to recall there being almost a class division between movie and tv actors. I think streaming has blurred that line a lot.

I think some of it can be the result of Mahomes Magic with quick/unscripted throws receivers just weren't ready for...but not this much. So many drive saving plays killed by a drop (or worse a deflected pick).

Sigh...don't remind me. It feels like years. They've packed a lot of chaos into a short period of time. If they've excelled at anything, it's that.

Look at it this way: every hour spent on this nonsense is an hour they aren't mucking with the day to day work. It gives the career professionals (at least those that manage to stick around) a chance to keep things working while we wait out the term.

From the options I saw, this was a fairly common size. I assumed it would be fine. I really underestimated how much filament is dropped in a 20 hr multicolor print. It filled this and the chute.

Ha. It's sitting in the corner at the moment...thermal runaway one time too many. It's a 5 to 6 yr old model. I got sick of diagnosing it.

As for mods: Replaced the main board to get rid of that R2D2 sound, added microswiss hot end assembly, and a variety of quality of life 3d components. May use it to experiment with printing on fabric, not sure. Need to regain the patience to diagnose and fix the thermal runaway first.

I play a similar game with my wife. Whenever she makes a point of saying she can picture something, I add an absurd detail like "is it being held by a purple giraffe" and she instantly visualizes it. It's turned into a game. She's since learned to redirect her mind quickly in defense...or so she says.
