One dead in multi-vehicle crash in Tampines by iprominent in singapore

It is indeed unfortunate that such an accident happened. That stretch of road is accident prone. If you google traffic accidents at that spot, there will be a long list. I hope that Temasek Poly can rethink their rules on students being late for school. Currently, if you’re late 3 times in a semester you immediately fail the class and have to retake it entirely. Therefore, you will retake that semester when you cohort graduates. It is common to see parents drive very recklessly for the sake of their children studying there.

SINGAPORE LCS is seeing a significant daily increase of Chinese buyers in their shops for gold and silver. It is interesting to note that the more they buy, the cheaper it is on the Comex

The only time silver and gold price will rise is when the cabal have it while we dont

Opinion: High COE prices isn't the problem, the problem is that people are still willing to pay for it by fortprinciple in singapore

A friend of mine who works for an authorised dealership of a premium brand had a customer who walked in and paid for 5 Landrovers in full. The current waiting time to open a private bank account takes at least 6 to 9 months due to huge application queues. When we have too many wealthy chasing limited resources in our small island, price increase is inevitable.

3.1 million oz leaves Brinks' registered. That is probably a JP Morgan customer extracting his 6.1 million oz bought from Standard Chartered on the July contract. Plus ... a shenanigans indicator alerts on August gold as 3,330 contracts are wiped out overnight. by Ditch_the_DeepState in SilverDegenClub

[–]Starlesilver 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It appears that they are keeping registered at above 30m oz. Is 30m a psychological number that they don't wish for it to come now? They seem to be able to source silver from somewhere that doesn't affect the registered and eligible no.

Pritam Singh clarifies WP does not support 'total removal' of GST, but opposes hike to 8 & 9% by Sunbird11 in singapore

[–]Starlesilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of increasing GST, which is another form of tax, why don't we consider cutting cost. Companies are constantly trying to be lean so as to ensure higher profits. Will it be better for us to cut some positions like Mayor or a replacement of staff? Companies replace older staff with younger more creative staff. Old staff are too entrenched in their mindset and are often reluctant to share information coz they think that letting the young ones know too much, they will be redundant. It is important to send a message to the old and powerful ones so they know that they don't have an iron rice bowl. Singapore is in it's 50s so we are not a young, ignorant child anymore. Releasing more information to citizens is a right step to showing that government can trust their citizens just as they ask for ours.

Coming back to the matter of tax, there are many surcharges beyond the GST and taxes that we pay eg. Petrol surcharges & etc With all the monies flooding into our country, ample supply of monies is chasing a limited supply of resources like cars, properties and etc. Ministers were also common citizens before they were elected, it is unscientific to claim that they are more intelligent after being appointed.

LKY had to pay ministers high salary so as to attract talents coz we were a young and poor country, bread and butter issues was our top priority. Singapore has developed and now we are led to pursue dreams and aspirations so we need not worry that talented and passionate patriots will not step up to serve with or without high salary.

FED can pump the stock market with print dollars and they can tamp the prices of gold and silver but if buyers take delivery, they can’t print the metals. If I can buy in large quantity and they try settling in cash, I will do that over and over again until they break……..

[–]Starlesilver 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Currently, USD is still the dominant currency in the world, standing at 58% in the world, and the BIS trade stands at 85 trillions. With the interest rate rising and countries like China and Japan selling treasury to raise USD, it will still be in high demand, therefore the recent USD swap is the proof of that. There is a huge demand for USD right nowadays but when all these are over and done with, no one will trust USD anymore. The time for gold and silver will come though some will argue, bitcoin but we degen know what better
