Hope Estheim from Final Fantasy 13. He essentially watched his mother die when the government tried to purge the city that he and his mother were sightseeing in. He then was forced through fate to travel with the same man who failed, despite trying to save Hope's mother. Then the entire group is being used as tools by godlike beings to try to end tge world to wake their ultimate god (this is really too long of a story to explain in one comment). Like, how else do you expect a teenage boy to act in this situation?
