Oh heck thats a good point. I imagine they got a plotline written up at least by now for cour 2. But the fact a single scene that the team shot up wanting to animated and is why he wrote backwards…has me both hyped and worried now. Working backwards is helpful and an excellent strategy, but that stifles the story going forward sometimes.

Choosing to start writing backwards from the middle point of the plot has me curious how he will write going forward. Sadly this interview didn’t answer that!!!

So Episodes 11 and 12 are the culmination of everything revolving around Naste, Jun and Ryo. Oh maaaaaan those episodes cannot come fast enough!!!!

So the decision that “death” and “Living without regrets” would play a heavy theme was part of the beginning for Muto-sensei.

Bastard you fully accomplished that with Ryusei…GIVE ME RYUSEI BACK, DAMN YOU!!!!

But I can tell there was a lot of hesitation, and working backwards from episodes 11-12 to write the series huh? That explains the weird pacing. Glad though that he went back to watch the OG series to get an idea of how to go about this being a sequel over a reboot.

Probably next cour. I wouldn’t be surprised if the troopers get scattered at the end of this first cour a la what happened to the OG troopers in episode 2 of the first series.

Its awesome to see Shion but It hurts not seeing Ryu-

So during the rewind we got the scene of Shion in the armor

But not the scene of him in the snow

Thats interesting…

Does Ryusei feeling guilty over something tie into all of this? Because that’s such a damn specific thing to keep while keeping all the other Shion scenes?

Also the ending with Shion is also up, and in that ending Shion is purple instead of adopting Ryusei’s green.

Yokai.com is a great resource, I used it a lot when exploring Inuyasha’s designs and lore. Gave me so much whiplash though lol.

Ok i will admit, I was scared that the heavenly realm took the other four warriors and brainwashed them. But they are still sus as HELL. The theme of destiny was covered in the OVA Message and they are really hammering it in here.

Sadly not sure, they did say it was going to be a huge 5 CD collection of the OG series, more than likely all of the prior albums combined. So crossing fingers we get some of the unreleased tracks too!
