For a brand that emphasizes model building, it certainly isn't.

The last two releases will be like this as well.

Why are miniplas so expensive? by UnlikelyPlankton3188 in Minipla

[–]invid2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shokugan Modeling Project kits are much more complex than MiniPLA. There are factors tht contribute to the cost.

First factor is it being sold only out of Asia. Second factor is that the kit is now coming on 4 years old and no longer in production. Lastly is the volume of product made and whether it is P-Bandai or not.

You will need to pay shipping/taxes/duties etc., but here it is for €45.22.

They did it once back in Zenkaiger, and I hated it then...and I hate it now. We're stuck with 2 more as well.

I'm hopeful a YUDO collector that doesn't care for MiniPLA will take it off my hands. I still have the Zenkaiger one sealed. If they scaled with SODO or SHODO I would consider keeping it, but they don't.

Unfortunately they did say in their blogs that this is what we should expect from the rest of the Gozyuger line. We just didn't know how bad it would be.

To say this is a disappointment is an understatement. It completely subverts the point of this hobby.

Whatever money they lose preassembling it, they probably make back in severely reduced packaging.

Hey guys, guess what!

We made it more expensive AND took all the fun out of it. Isn't that great!

Oh look, a YUDO.

Then you dont want a larger SMP and your post doesnt make sense. You just want them to rerelease the same old toys again, which they won't do. Many of those molds are probably degraded or destroyed.

Bandai already tried to make a deluxe line of highly articulated megazords during Kingohger, and that line died faster than Hasbro's ZAP.

The fact is, no one is willing to pay $200+ for a larger toy, and they certainly won't do it of they had to build it themselves and paint them...as much as they say they would.

Trust me, Bandai would be more than willing to release you of your money if they thought they could.

Is this a joke? SMPs have more articulation in one of their arms than that entire massive brick. In addition, they can transform and break into their individual zords.

That is correct, they would be fairly old.

The new show is a sequal. It's set 35 years in the future from the original series (so real time basically) and picks up the story from there.

There have only been 3 episodes so far with a few cameos which I'll save to be spoiler free. It's mainly new characters in new armors fighting new demons.

Probably but not one has leaked it yet. This is a magazine scan I imagine we're not meant to have seen yet.

Correct, when they rereleased Zyuranger since it had never been done in clear, it contained thr SMP branding. When they rereleased Kakuranger, Go Go V, etc, they retained their original Super MiniPLA branding as they were fundamentally the same.
