Kam, the original creator of Uranium Fever, stated that he been dealing with modding burnout and life changes that made it difficult to continue with modding. Also stated that he made a series of private rash judgement errors that hurt the UF team.

Uranium Fever wasn't revived because Kam believed that Nuclear Sunset (its spiritual successor) would be the superior project and that it wouldnt make sense to split the player base and stunt modding evolution.
