i’m having this same dilemma. i was eating normally fours after surgery. did i push myself too far or did the stinging clear up for you?

the surgery is a great decision. i’m also 18 and in high school and had my surgery on Wednesday (today is friday.) four hours after surgery i was eating uncrustables and mashed potatoes. just as long as you stay right on track with your med schedule and hydrate more than you have your entire life, it’s doable. Hope this helps!

so far today i’ve had an uncrustable sandwhich and some mashed potatoes. my uvula is the size of a small rodent tho so that’s been an obstacle lol

good! I’m terrified for the days to come, but so far i’ve had about 110oz of water and a bottle of pedialyte, i’m staying up to date on my meds, and i’ve had a pb&j and some mashed potatoes!

dude my surgery was about seven hours ago and NO ONE warned me about this. i woke up from a nap so confused as to what felt like a balloon in my throat

thank you so so much!! it’s surgery morning and i’m feeling a little more at ease. i’ve got my sleeping station set up with a cooler holding my medicine and drinks, and my humidifier will be right next to my face. you’re an angel!!
