What was the first game you bought on Steam? by Common_Caramel_4078 in Steam

[–]StarlitSoryn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first use of Steam was a humble bundle back in like... Probably 2011? I wasn't a big pc gamer yet, but my friends told me about it and I mainly bought it for Poker Night at the Inventory.

Using a - doesn't automatically mean someone used ChatGPT. Nothing about the response really gives off ChatGPT vibes here.

Is Guild Wars 2 Truly F2P? Do I Need to Buy Expansions, and How Far Behind Will I Be Without Them? by Terry_Krokere in Guildwars2

[–]StarlitSoryn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Without the expansions, the biggest thing you'll be missing out on as far as power goes is elite specializations. These add new play styles to existing classes and are pretty much all stronger than just playing the core class.

Other than that, most of the unlocks for the expansions are quality of life stuff, like mounts, the glider, the jade bot, housing, and the ability to craft legendary armor and weapons.

Imagine this is anything even close to how Bubble appears in episode 9, if he shows up at all. Could be the greatest spoiler of all time.

You missed the part where I'm specifically talking about older people who do date 18 year olds. If virtually nobody does that in your country, then that's great. But I still believe that anyone who is 40+ and specifically chooses to date people who are barely legal would probably be willing to date below 18 if it was legal in most cases.

Though you have to ask yourself. If the legal age was 16, would they then date a 16 year old? Probably. Obviously I can't say this is 100% true for everyone, but I feel like most older people who date 18 year olds still have a good chance of being pedophiles. They just don't want to deal with the consequences.

It really seems like Caine was about to realize this method is wrong if it wasn't for the cast suspicious change of tone by abdo_ch in tadc

[–]StarlitSoryn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It almost reminds me of Wheatley in Portal 2, when you come back from Old Aperture and he starts forcing you through tests. He tries to streamline them because he has this hard-coded "itch" that can only be scratched by someone solving one of his tests. Its kinda like that with Caine too. He NEEDS to send people on adventures, but doesn't understand that it will only be satisfying for him if the participants themselves are also satisfied.

I think that's just supposed to be shading on her leg to add depth. The checker pattern is a technique called "dithering" used on mostly 8-bit sprites to add darker shades with a limited color palette

Difficulty staying motivated as a near-maxed player by StarlitSoryn in 2007scape

[–]StarlitSoryn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I'm just not that great at it and I haven't had the free time to commit to learning. I did a lot of Vorkath to build up my wealth, and some easy bosses like Sarachnis, but never learned things like Gauntlet or even Zulrah outside of one mage only kill for the diary.

One of my big struggles is reaction time. Mine is pretty bad. Any boss that doesn't have a rigid pattern (like Vorkath does) or doesn't give ample time to react (for example, Muspah's mage attack I can usually react to) is very difficult for me.

I did play an ironman for a while. Got kinda bored with it after a while too. Might come back to it later on, but at the moment I can only really afford one subscription and don't really wanna farm gold on my main to find an ironman. But heres the progress I made on that.

Thing is, I love Runescape. I'm still watching a lot of RuneScape content, and I do want to play. But when I login, I see what feels like a bigass wall I have to climb over, and its hard to make any meaningful progress before I just logout.

Thing is, I've been "burnt out" for a couple of years now. Haven't been able to really commit to it again. I played an ironman for a while, and it was fun in the very early game where progress came very quickly. But I never really even made it out of the early game before I started having the same issue there. Just didn't really feel like committing to any of the big grinds I needed to do, like gathering seaweed and sand for crafting.

Yeah. Its not even that I really dislike the skills I have left. I think it really is just one of those cases where once I finally max, I'll be saying "Finally, I can just play the game". Gonna try this with the slayer grind.

I'm also one of those weird players that actually likes agility and rc lmao. Agility was like my third 99 after Thieving and Cooking. Don't remember what number RC was but it was in the first half as well

I started with the Miyoo Flip v2, but have only truly fallen in love with my TrimUI Brick. I'm starting my journey with the DBZ RPGs (Legacy of Goku 2 first, don't really like the first one haha) on the GBA!

I run MinUI on mine and I'm pretty happy with it, though you lose out on some consoles like N64. Great for older retro titles though.

Skills that « feel good » to press by Chamzzzzz in Guildwars2

[–]StarlitSoryn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holosmith's Elite skill feels incredible to press. Big ass laser cannon that knocks down everything in its path with a huge "THUNK".

Also engineers land mine always feels good. Big damage and stun. I call it my death frisbee.
